American Family Insurance Continued billing even after cancellation on services Nationwide

I called American Family back in August 21, 2015 in order to cancel my home and auto insurance. I asked the agent, who took care of this for me, if I could also cancel my Life Insurance policy through them as well. The agent told me yes and at the end of the call I was under the impression that everything had been taken care of for me. For the past two months I have continued to get billed for a policy that I asked to be canceled and was under the impression that it was canceled. After noticing that I am still being billed, I called today to once again cancel the policy. Luckily this time I was sent to the correct department who informed me that the previous agent was wrong and that I needed to speak to them and sign a form in order to make sure that it gets canceled.
