I purchased a furnture set for my living room from American Freight back in July of 2011. I also purchased a warranty so that anything that went wrong with the sofa and loveseat would be covered. Recently, I noticed peeling on the back and arms of the sofa AND loveseat. I called the warranty company to file a claim and was told that because the furniture was peeling/cracking that it would not be covered. If I had known this back on 2011, I would not have purchased the furniture. They let me believe that all I needed to do was get this warranty and wipe my furniture down periodically with the cleaner and all would be well. I followed their instructions and problems still arose with the furniture. When I called to get my money back from another layaway because I no longer wanted to do business with their company, they told me that I could only purchase something else in their store. They would not give me any money back. When I told them to keep the money I would NEVER be back, the salesman told me he was done with talking to me. He was rude and nasty when he found out there was a problem. He was not willing to help me with my problem, "all sales are final" and I understand that, but if you want to retain a customer for future sales, being accomodating is key. This company was not upfront with me when selling. Both American Freight and their warranty company are a bunch of crooks and swindlers. Do not get involved with them.
