Complaint Review: American General Financials

i applied for a loan on the internet(first mistake). I was contacted by Victoria Grant who was the Account manager she said that Timothy Perry would be my loan specialist. I contacted him at the phone number provided and was sent paperwork to complete and send back to them. Tim said that I had to have a secured loan and would need to send $692.00 by money gram to an Amanda Edwards who was the private lender. I did not have all so I sent what I could he said that the remainder could be taken from the loan.

I waited all weekend then called back when I was told that there was a mistake and they needed more money. I was not going to send more money so the loan was terminated. I have received and saved emails from "Victoria Grant" stating my refund has been sent to the refund processing department. That was on January 30, 2007 and the refund was supposed to take only 10 days according to Ms. Grant. It would take 30 days according to Mr. Perry. I still have not received my money back.

I have tried calling and do not get any response back. I have also emailed them numerous times but I get no response.
