My grandparents bought policies from The National Life and Accident Insurance Company (a stock company) Nashville, Tennessee in 1946. I was named as beneficiary September 1, 1977. After my grandparents died, I contacted the company and was told that some were N/F and lapsed. My grandparents kept their paperwork regarding insurance in one place and there were no letters about N/F included. However, one was not marked N/F from 1946 and I was told that it had been cashed in. When I asked for proof of that, I was given the brush-off. I know these policies are old, but some clerk had the job of keeping up with changes and with today's computer system it should be easier to locate policies. The new sales agent was not helpful and didn't want to research the case. This is not good for business and I will not buy anything from AGL & Accident Insurance with this going on.
