I am an Emergency Department RN with a multi-state license.  I am ACLS and Professional CPR certified for the past decade.

I took CPR certification training recently through an American Heart Association center in Richmond Virginia.  The center name is "Virginia Emergency Mgmt, EMS LifeMate Services".  During the course of the online and in-person practical training, I provided this "training center" with 3 separate pieces of identification.  Nevertheless, weeks after my training was completed I received a CPR card that is unusable due to the gross mis-spelling of my name

I contacted the American Heart Association to report this error, and could not have received a bigger yawn.  They passed my call around for over 30 minutes, and I never did receive the courtesy of the promised responses.  Call 888-277-5463 and see what happens when you ask them about their associated "training centers".

Don't waste your time trying to obtain an American Heart Association CPR certification, as their is no guarantee that this huge tax exempt non-profit is doing anything but engaging in revenue generating activities.
