Less than one week remaining under the Making Home Affordable Modification program. Less than 2 weeks remaining before my home is scheduled to be auctioned due to foreclosure.  I throw my hands up in despair.

For over 1 year I have consistently tried to modify my home loan with this company.  All the while, they have continually and intentionally failed to act in a good faith manner.

Over and over, I painstakingly went out of my way to photocopy the requested documents, and then photocopy updated replacement documents for those outdated by each new passing month, and proceeded to fax and overnight this material to AHMSI.  Desperately awaiting some type of feedback, I continually attempted to contact the mortgage holder by telephone and fax. Of the many, many repeated telephone calls, I managed to actually speak with a representative, by comparison, on only a very small percentage of my attempts.

I was falsely advised by the different representatives either that (1) my package was incomplete and, sometimes all and sometimes some, of my documents needed to be re-sent; or (2) my modification was being reviewed by a negotiator.  Back and forth, over and over the following cycle continued:

a)  I painstakingly went out of my way to photocopy the requested documents;

b) I painstakingly went out of my way to photocopy updated replacement documents     for those which had become outdated;

c)  I continually faxed and overnighted this material to AHMSI;

d)  Weeks passed with no updated modification status;

e) I continually attempted to contact the mortgage holder by telephone and fax;

f)  AHMSI repeatedly advised that my package was incomplete, or certain documents     were missing, and to, again, re-send my documents;

g)  Each time I spoke with one of these representatives, I verified, and then re-              verified that all other documents were received and in the possession of the              current representative;

h)  Despite my attempts to ensure all documents were in the possession of the                current representative, there was always yet another missing document;

i)   Start cycle again at (a), above.

In the interim, rude, hateful, obnoxious phone calls were received from AHMSI collectors, some, if not most, were from non-Americans presumably out of the country, with barely interpretable English, who demeaned and attempted to intimidate me, all the while threatening me with homelessness and foreclosure.

I lost my job over a year ago and everyday await a telephone call from Walmart or any prospective employer.  My unemployment benefits and all extensions will soon expire.  A house only a few doors away from mine, in my once $150,000 neighborhood, just sold for $35,000.  Needless to say, I am upside down in my loan.

I wait and pray for a miracle, while I wait and pray that someone will stop this fraudulent company and save me.  I have sought all other options.

I have been dealing with this company for years now! My mother has a home and almost lost it a few years ago when she lost her job. I left the country for two years for school and came back she was a few months behind on her payments. I attempted to get information from this company so I could access her info and pay on her home. It took months, many lost documents and refusal to give any information over the phone at all. I was trying to get her caught up, but they refused to listen.

Finally, after months of paperwork I was allowed to speak to someone on the phone regarding her account. They still proceeded to be very stingy with any information.

She has been on time with her payments for over two years now, almost three, but no matter how much she pays her amount is not getting any lower. I contact them and they have some excuse always, or I oddly get cut off from the phone line.  I attempted to get her payments lowered as well, applying for the "making home affordable" and again, lost paperwork, they can't find my faxes, etc. It is just never ending!

I am looking into getting a new company to take over the mortgage or find a good lawyer to research this for me.

I have had enough! If you have any more information or would like to contact me regarding this please let me know. This company recently changed their name, but they cannot hide the negative things they have done.

Your story is identical to mine.  I went through the process 3 times in 2 years and have never ever been so agravated in all my life.  I'm sorry you lost your house, we are loosing ours as well.  Dealing with this comany has been the worst experience of my life and I am actually looking forward to never having to deal with them anymore. I think I will rent for the rest of my life just to avoid mortgage companies from now on.

You say you faxed things. What you don't say is if you ever made a payment after seeking help.

Reading on the AHMI site it is not a miracle worker or a free ride.  Nor is Hope Now or Project Lifeline.  They cant help you if you don't help yourself.
