American Home Mortgage Servicing Formerly , Option One Ripped me off for several Repayment plans--thousands of dollars and now reporting me one month late each month Irving Texas
After losing my job and trying to work some type of financial arrangement out with Option One now DBA American Home Mortgage Servicing, they ripped me off by making me send to them multiple Repayment plans--with thousands of dollars in Down payments, then monthly payments 3 to 4 times the amount of my original mortgage payment.
I sent the payments but they always reported me being behind as much as 6 or more months--which I was not.
I asked them for a payment history--they sent it after I threatened to get an attorney. The payment history was incomplete and did not include all of my payments. I challenged them until they were bought out by AHMSI--or so they said. When I call, I still get the same people.
They finally did a Loan-Mod in September 2008, but sent me the paperwork dated September 16, 2008 on September 22, 2008. They wanted me to send them a September payment, but I told them that I did not receive the paperwork in time to consult with my attorney, which they recommended and that I could not send in a payment until October, 2008. The young lady I spoke with in Home Retention told me she would check with her Supervisor. Spoke with her Supervisor who okayed it for me to have the September 2008 Down payment waived and the first payment to be sent before October 15, 2008. I sent the payment before October 15, 2008 by WU Qwik Collect. They could not find the payment for at least a month--I called every day, even Saturdays, to check. Finally, they admitted that they had applied the payment to the old loan for March 2008, they had made a huge mistake and they would apply the payment to September 2008. I reminded them of our agreement regarding September, 2008 being waived and to this date they are still arguing that I am a month behind and are reporting me so to all 3 Credit Bureaus.
I had a second mortgage, which I asked that they also modify--they said they would, but they did not. They sent this out to several collection agencies, who harassed me day and night for months. Option One finally reported to the Credit Bureaus that they had foreclosed on the property due to the second mortgage being in default and had sold the property as collateral.
I ask, if this happened, why am I still paying on the home with the first mortgage and how do you modify a loan on a property that has been sold as collateral.
I intend to pursue this through legal means as of this month. I am sick of these people and have been since day one. They are the worst people to deal with--they are rude, liars and out to ruin any one that owes them any monies. They never intend to honor any part of any Loan Mod--it is just a SCAM ALSO.
