Complaint Review: American Home Mortgage Servicing Inc.

I had a mortgage with Option One who sold or transferred the servicing to American Home Mortgage Servicing. I have paid my monthly payment on line, free of charge, for approximately 5 years. I am now informed that I must pay $3.95 for the privilege of paying that same payment on line and that the charge will be going up to $9.95 in September. This charge is not for paying late. This is the charge for paying on the due date or within 4 days of the due date. After that time, their charges go up.

This servicing is handled through India. I refuse to pay any sum of money for Option One or American Home Mortgage Servicing to utilize the services of someone in India or in the US for that matter. This is a total bend-over charge. I have never paid before and don't intend to start now. I will mail the payment and they can get it when-ever just so long as it is not past the 15th (when a late fee would be due) We are getting ripped off by everyone, its time to put a stop to it.
