American Home Shield 5 hours on hold for emergency service hot water heater broke $1000.00 phoney charges Nationwide

I was on hold for over 5 hours on 3 or 4  seperate calls.  No emergency respoonse for hot water heater that was leaking.  They got someone out to evaluate the next morning and told me on top on the new water heater there would be over 900.00 in bogus repairs.  It was an emergency and they could not get anyone out for over 24 hours and gave me a company that padded the bill.  5 hours wasted on hold.  Terrible cust service number, no other way but to wait on hold.  The plumber choose not to wait on the phone over an hour line to get approval right away, so that delayed things more.  I was told he did call in to expedite and he faxed the form.  He did not follow procedure so I was punished.   They said since I waited on hold the plumber should too.  Of course the plumber doesn't want to be put on hold for that long.  That was during business hours.  I called after 5PM on a weeknight only to have to wait until morning.  The plumbers CNJ Services said I needed $940.00 of uncovered parts, plus my deductable $125.00.  Plus they said I had to wait until 7pm or so that evening.  I was going out of the country the next day and had no time to wait.    I had another plumber come out and fix in the time I was waiting for AHS and I did not need a new 225.00 resurculating valve among the long list of other items that they said I needed.  I never got it in writing but was told the total would be 940.00 for repairs not needed from Annette at American Home Sheild.  I called many licenced plumbers and could have had the repair done for way less and quicker time frame.  There is no way to contact a person there unless you want to be on hold for over an hour.  They don't care and there is no other emergency number.    Total fraud I did not need most of the items that Annette said needed to be replaced.  I will look into filing a complaint with the ROC and RESPA since they are Coldwell Bankers go to warranty company.    I could not take a shower or wash clothes and they did not care.  I had to shut off hot water to house which shut off all my shower heads and tubs.
