My 19 year old pool heater was blowing 4 foot flames out the top and sides; its covered under warranty by American home shield. 19 years ago AHS installed this very heater under warranty when I bought the home. I never let my policy laspe in 19 years with AHS. I was told today that the second opinion was the same as the first . Thus the claim was denied again, first opinion hood vent missing which it seems turned out to be a non existent fictitious part. After a conversation with James at pools by James, he said he recommended replacement , which was a bold face lie by AHS, stating James was in concert with Southwest pools the first service provider  . When pressed by me , I then was told AHS reverted back to the first opinion but the fictitious non existent hood vent was no longer an issue. It was now an auxiliary gas line to an outdoor grill .  I was also told it was because I had a non sufficient gas meter , that in fact , So Cal gas installed over approx 18  years ago at AHS request when the existing heater in question was replace under warranty . Now apparently the final Denial is based on low gas flow and thus the heater failed , really ? . So Cal Gas says the meter can provide 1,000,000.00 BTU's.  The heater has internal problems on the ignition circuitry that in actuality  gas builds up and doesn't ignite and when it does there's a small explosion !!!
