American Home Shield has failed to have my A/C repaired in the middle of summer. Carroll, Iowa
On August 14, 2010 my A/C broke. I immediately contacted my warranty company American Home Shield. However, they have failed to have my unit repaired. Consistently, AHS, has ignored, delayed, and given me misinformation. I have paid American Home Shield nearly $1400 for three years of coverage. I have never used their services until now.
As a result of their poor service I reported them to the BBB multiple times. Today is September 9, 2010 and my A/C still is not repaired. Temperatures have reached nearly 95 degrees inside of my house. One week I was informed that my unit would arrive. After waiting nearly seven days I discovered it was never shipped. Then after the part was finally shipped it was the wrong part. As a result, I had to wait another week. These are just two examples of their poor service and performance.
AHS may be a great company for others. However, my experience has been horrible. I will never recommend anyone to do business with them. AHS merely needed to keep me informed with accurate information. Instead I was given misleading information and avoidance. I hope AHS learns from situation to value their customers. As paying customer I deserve better service than this. This situation has caused multiple burdens for my family.
I realize that some things are just out of our control. That's fine. However, people should admit their mistakes and try to make things right. I shouldn't have to fight AHS to receive decent customer service.
