American Intercontinental University Online ripoff I just enrolled last week and their giving the run around already Hoffman Estates I Illinois
I enrolled into AIU online last week, but If found a better program thru my job. I wrote my Admission Advisor (S. Littles) informing him that I was terminating my enrollment, I don't start classes till May,05. I was informed by my advisor that he wasn't authorized to terminate my enrollment and he transfered to a the Student Manager (R. Thomason) I've left several voice,and emails but I still haven't heard from him. I've been searching the internet for help with this problem because like some many others I'm getting the brush off, Can someone please help me??? My FA package has been approved and I think their trying to hold me off till May. I spoke to my Financial Advisor and she told me if I didn't get terminated by may, I shouldn't logon because I wouldn't be taking any classes. I definitely don't believe that, If anyone has an ideal how I can get out of this please let me Know before may.

What a mess. I can relate. I won't go into my own gruesome details but have some advice that I hope helps you. Go straight to the top. Talk with the Dean of the school, also talk with the head of the financial aid dept and the head of the actual company that gave you the financial aid. In my situation it was FAFSA. I am not sure who yours is but would highly recommend you find out and quick. Write letters to these people and have them delivered via certified mail with a signature required. If that doesn't get some kind of response, show up in person. You may also want to talk (consult only) with a lawyer. Better yet, if you have a friend that is a lawyer, ask them to write a letter for you. It's amazing how quick companies respond to lawyers.
