American Intercontinetal University Online ripoff Hoffman Estateshoffman Estates Suite 400 Illinois
In November of 2003 I inquired about this school I went through all the proceders and and the last minute decided it wasn't for me. I was told that was fine and when it was the right choice for me to give my admission advisor Danae Zaitz a call and I wouldnt have to pay the $50.00 fee. As far as I was concerned that was the end of that....well guess again. Here it is March of 2005 I received a telephone call from Barry Serota and Associates stating that I owe AIU online 1,220 because I attended their school from November 16, 2003 until November 23, 2003. And AIU and themselves have been trying to contact me ever since. So I call AIU and after about a week finally speak to a "SUPERVISOR" and find out that they have the incorrect address and telephone number. How convenent!! She also tells me that they have sent me numerous e-mail's (which is also false). So I asked her for documentation stating that I attended this school and what do you know I have yet to receive that either which may I add she is e-mailing it to me. As for Barry Serota and Associates I tried to contact them today and have yet to receive a phone call. I also asked them how they came about my telephone number and address (they had the correct stuff) and the worker told me it was irrelivant and hung up the phone on me. This is all too odd! No one has a straight answer. I also have proof that AIU has had my correct address and phone number as s tated on a package I received from them. If I really owed them money why would all my information be changed?
This school is a complete scam. I have never attended a class there...the closest I came to attending was receiving an email from a professor. I dont know what to do if anyone has any kind of advice PLEASE PLEASE let me know. Anything from anyone!
