American Investment Training Global Career Schools Didn't refund my money Internet
I ordered a self-study course for Series 7 and Series 66 licensing, November 2010. After placing the order, I determined the need to get started right away and didn't want to wait to receive it in the mail so I contacted them about their return policy and was told that is was no problem as long as it was returned in like-new condition within 3 weeks.
Given that, I signed up for an online course with another company and when the package arrived from American Investment Training, I just opened it up, put it another box and returned to sender.
When my refund wasn't forthcoming I attempted to contact their office. This was difficult because they have no phone number so I sent faxes and e-mails. I finally got a response at one point and the person stated they'd be refunding my $220 on a credit card.
Another month passed and no refund. I again spent considerable time trying to contact them with similar results.
I finally filed a Better Business Bureau complaint and got a call from a guy who said he'd look into it. Again, weeks have passed with no word.
It has been six months and I'm out $220 to date. I'm a business person and this type of behavior is what gives business people a bad name.
