American Knights Moving and Storage is the most corrupt despicable moving company that I could ever imagine dealing with.

After extensive research, I decided to go with American Knights Moving and Storage, because the manager there (Cesar) had given me a fair quote and he had also promised REPEATEDLY that the quote that I was given would NOT be increased.

Moving day came around and I was shocked to find out that the movers wanted to charge me extra money for almost everything in the book.

1.) American Knights Moving and Storage charged for re-boxing my stuff, at a rate of $35-$75 per box!

2.) American Knights Moving and Storage decided that the distance between the truck and my apartment was too long, which warranted an extra charge of $75 for each 75 feet.

3.) American Knights Moving and Storage told me that my boxes were too large and that those boxes would either need to be re-boxed or that an extra charge would be applied. I even had to leave some stuff behind, because it was not worth the extra cost of re-boxing.

4.) American Knights Moving and Storage later told me that an extra $500 would be charged, because they would need to transfer my items to another truck. (This makes no sense, I know.)

5.) American Knights Moving and Storage notified me that they had an emergency, and needed to come a day early. I then had to scramble to pack my stuff a day earlier.

6.) They delivered my items a whole week late!

7.) After charging me all this extra money to repack my stuff, I was beyond upset to find that EVERYTHING that THEY had packed was broken!

8.) Their insurance will only cover $0.60 per pound of items, so my broken $1500 mirror is now worth less than $10.

9.) The worst offense of all of the above is that they only notified me of all of these charges after having already packed my stuff.

10.) When trying to dispute these bogus charges, they then pretended not to know English!

They were a nightmare to deal with from beginning to end. Everything that they could have ripped me off on, messed up, broke or delivered late, they did.

If you value your stuff and your wallet, please, please avoid this company, definitely the worst in the history of moving companies.

The amount extra that they charged me totaled $2000!

They would not give me my items back until this amount was paid in cash.
