American Mail Publishing "Amazing Home-Mailing Program" THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM, FALSE ADVERSTISING Atlanta, Georgia
I signed up to the American Mail Publishing from what it said on their website was that I was to stuff envelops and mail them out. There was a starter fee that would be returned once they had recieved their first 20 envelopes. And I quote "
IN ORDER TO GET YOU STARTED IMMEDIATELY, we must require a one-time registration fee of only $29.95. This covers our expense in getting you started and guarantees you can work with us as long as you desire. You will not be required or asked to pay for any additional information, manuals, or instructions.
Your registration fee will be refunded to you as soon as you process your first 20 envelopes. This way your registration cost you nothing. Not to mention the fact that you will also earn $5 for each envelope that you stuff."
Well I got my package today and it says nothing at all on the website about us having to advertise in order to get the business in the first place. Then once you keep reading on, you get down to the point where you have to spend more of the money that it says you do not have to in order to put your ads in numerous news papers and then have to pay for the shipping and handling between $5.00 and $55.00 dollars.
There is none of this information at all on their website. I had sent at least 2 emails that had gone un-replied from their company and when I called, there is a music that plays and then goes straight to voicemail. It is false advertising to the max and someone needs to shut them down or at least get them to fix it. I gave them my credit card information and with the fact that this is not at all what I signed up for the hassle to get your money back in insane.
I will never do this again, mark it under a lesson learned. Now the trouble that I have to go to to protect my credit will be extensive. It is true every work at home scheme is a scam. Do NOT TRUST ANYONE!!! especially not in this day and age.

You have to ask yourself, "Does this 'business' model pass the smell test". If you did it in this case, you'd have to say "nope".

Isn't that a clear sign that you're being taken for a ride? Why would someone pay you $5 to do something that can be done for a fraction of a penny by a machine? It's ludicrous. What sort of envelope is so valuable that you'd pay $5 for someone to stuff it.
Seriously, that's like finding an ad that says they'll pay you $2 a piece to put the cream filling into Twinkies at your home. You'd have to ignore the fact that machines do the job for nothing and that a Twinkie is not worth $2.
Before the Internet, this type of "work at home" opportunity was advertised in the back of magazines. It was just as bogus then as it is now. You've got to give them points for longevity, though.
