American Marketing Group , AMG Timeshare purchase offer with upfront "retainer" of $1700. Palm Beach Gardens Florida
This guy called Chris called me to make a purchase offer on my timeshare stating that they only needed a retainer of around $1700 to get the process started. I asked them to send me more information about their company and they faxed me a terrible info page with email address fax and physical address. I researched the supposed physical address and belongs to a Virtual Office. They lied about having a physical location, so I asked for more information, title company, law firm etc. that they do business with and could not get a straight answer so I hung up.
They called me again and I told them that I was not going to do business with them because I believed this was a scam. So Chris transferred me to his "manager" which told me they have been in business for 12 years but after a few tries at getting me to give him my credit card information finally gave up and said "Take your Timeshare and stick it...". These classy individual didn't even have the patience to convince me of their lies. My advise - ask many questions and cross reference their answers before you give out any money.
