American Mint unsolicited membership, unsolicited coins sent, billed Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania
I ordered a widely-advertised Barack Obama coin for $4.95, and, having read the fine print, per opt-out instructions, carefully crossed out the paragraph explaining that I would receive an entire collection. Despite this the coin arrived with another coin and a bill for $59.95. Customer service promised to send a post-paid mailer for the unsolicited coin but I have no confidence in this company, having read of their many complaints and their 'F' rating by the Better Business Bureau (not to mention the 2005 lawsuit stemming from their false advertising of the 9-11 Freedom Tower coin). I cannot fathom how they stay in business.
