American Money Corporation Joseph Fisher, Claims Managerphone 206-497-6067 Scam telephone call coming thru my employer's telephone number. Montego Bay Jamaica
I am at work and receive a telephone call at my employer's telephone number. The man starts telling me how I have been chosen to win 2.5 million dollars and a mercedes.
I am immediately on guard and he continues to ask for an email address or fax machine to send me information, which I did not. I wait for requests of anything personal he could try to access for a scam. I answer only general questions about having a bank account (who doesn't) , but not who with, and a credit card (but not which company). I already know I am not giving any specifics that could be used for gain. I told him to send me information thru regular mail (who doesn't have an address) and I would look over anything he had.
I asked him where he was located and he told me in Washington DC. I had already heard roosters crowing in the background and almost had to laugh. I asked him if he was in Washington DC why did I hear roosters crowing in the background? He was caught off guard.
I finally said, okay, I will call Mr. Fisher, you have a good day, then hung up. It took a while for the line to disconnect and then I started worrying about the scams to gain access to the telephone lines and make outrageous long distance calls.
Please beware, and I probably gave too much information, but nothing that could not be found on the internet anyway.
