After many convincing phone conversations promising help to save our home with staff at American Mortgage Modification Assoc, we paid our $2000.00 and submitted the requested data in early May 2009. In five (5) months, nothing has happened. The company will not respond to phone calls and/or e-mails. The person in charge of our case has changed six (6) times.
This week, we received a large package from the Olive Foundation with all of our previously submitted data to American Mortgage Modification Assoc. The enclosed letter asked us to recopy the data and forward to our mortgage company. This letter further stated my mortgage company never has responded to their attempts to contact them. However, a previous email in July 2009 stated American Mortgage Modification Assoc was working on a modification with them .
We didn't know who the Olive Foundation was and why they had my information. Again, they will not respond to e-mails.
We are very frustrated and angry! We basically got scammed. And, yes, our house has gone to foreclosure and we have now had to hire a local attorney to handle the foreclosure.
