Complaint Review: American Professional Institute

Well I attending American Professional Institute on Sept 28 2006, I attended to class whether I wasn't feeling or not. Me and another girl was pregnant during the whole while we were in school. My teacher told me while I was going to have my baby.I couldn't take time off there was no exceptions. I went to school and I relasped. I ended up with a fever. The other girl sister died she had to misss her sisters burial.

He was explaining our grades to other studentns violating our privacy. The school holds responsible because we were afraid to go to anyone, because when we did they told him who the complaint came from and he told us he was god of the school.

With our future on the line we didn't want to chance that so we went through the abuse of being yelled at. He cussed out a girl in front of the classroom and hall but all the staff act like they didn't hear, one teacher did.

Well came close to us completing our academic level,we begin noticing we were been lied to. Instead of telling us we didn't have a clinical site they were pretending that they did. Our teacher ended up leaving. The Director says he quit. Rumor has it that he was stealing from the school. Other people saying that he knew something about school and how they were ripping us off.

Me and seven other students as well as other students in the class before us have signed a 16,000 dollars contract that must be paid. When the school found out thatwe were taken legal actions they made us sign a paper stating that if we dropped all leagl pursues we would be able to go the clinicals. We are still waiting and this was months ago.

They were ripping us off with our pell grant money because we never recieved a check until we started asking questions. And than they gave all of us 500.00. Why did it take that. My school is paid for in full but we still need sites. In the contract it said we had to do 560 hours,8hours a day, 5days a week. But they breached the contract not once but twice. They have sites but you go 2days and you maybe do 2 or 4 hours a day. Thats not what we were told. We didn't get a graduation as promised.

I really would have loved to have my family at my graduation. So we asked could we find our own clinical site. They said we could. So we did. I found one at the Medical center, the biggest hospital in Macon, 9hours a day and 5days a week I would have been finished in no time. I go and do one day after the school ok'd me. And they call up there and ruin it for. They say we don't have a clinincal instructor. They embarassed me. But what about the other sites, shouldn't they have a clinical instructor there.

I called the assistant Director Tammy Gockman, she told me She doesn't have anything to do with that. But she was the one who ok'd it. I ask her well how am i suppose to pay back the 16,000 thats due December of this year. She says she doesn't have anything to do with it.

I called the Director Yolanda Headly, She said they were interviewing someone and she would contact me by wed it is now saturday. I called her thursday no answer, I left a message, they don't return your call. And then say I withdrew I din't sign anything saying that but i re-entered just to make them happy so I could complete my clinical site. Why haven't the other finished.

I really think they are covering up something. I don't think its fair that I have to pay that money and they breached their contract, I din't I went to school and did my part. They didn't please us.
