Approximately Feburary 10m 2010 I returned a call to Cristy who called many, many times trying to reach me to tell me I won $1000. Bait and Switch comes in that yes I did indeed won the $1000 for a shopping spree. (web site http://www.selectyourgifts.com/). AND for the cost of shipping only I would be receiving five magazines. That is only $39.90 for 20 months and I would receive five magazines for five years. They would rust the order to me to sign and return. They agreed that I could pay by check. However when I checked my bank account they hammered a debit for $39.90 AND a debit for $4.95 from their affiliate United Benefits.

I received the order on the 13th. Reviewed it and decited that IF I were to purchase the magazines for five years on the newstand it would be cheaper than the $39.90 a month for 20 months. Although they said the order was not subject to cancellation, the agreement said otherwise. "Orders are not subject to cancellation after 5 days from the receipt of the agreement".

February 15 I was finally able to contact Amercian Publishers Service (AKA Magazines) and United Benefits and put a cancellation on both. They both told me the order would be cancelled.  However APS said I would be charged $500. plus for the cancellation.

Recourse?  I sure hope so.  The bank is reviewing my compliant to determine the validly and the reversal of both debits. I await their decision and will then be contacting an attorney.

I am an employee with Consumer Benefit Services, Inc., located in Naperville, IL. Cbsi designs and customizes discount benefit membership programs for separate third-party businesses. We solely provide the discounted services to the members registered in the program(s) owned by the third-party businesses.

The third-party businesses provide the program(s) to their customers as an added benefit or they market their private labeled program(s) to their customers as an opportunity to join their club. The customer service representatives in our call center only answer in-bound calls placed by members who are attempting to use the discounted services offered within their program. Cbsi does not bill, solicit or telemarket any programs to consumers.

United Benefit Advantage is not an independent business, but is a discount membership program that third-party businesses offer to their customers.

We want to ensure that all of your issues are resolved as soon as possible. If you were unable to resolve this matter, please call us at 1.888.255.4989 and a representative in our customer service call center will assist you and verify the status of your membership. At that time, our representative can determine the third-party business responsible for registering you into the United Benefit Advantage program and will connect you with them to address your complaints directly for further resolution.

Sincerely,

Edwin O. Velazquez | Program Support Specialist | Cbsi Membership Services | 1620 Bond Street Naperville, IL 60563
