Complaint Review: American Puppy Club

I only went into the store to look at the puppies. I am in my sixties and certainly do not need a puppy. The girl was very helpful,sorry I didn't realize she was only helping herself and the store. In the store was a miniature greyhound.So Cute.

She suggested I hold the puppy since I had only seen them on TV or in books.She then told me the price was $1900.00 I told her I definitely couldn't afford it.Then she went down to $1300.00.I told her I had a 14yr old Beagle home that was not healthy and I thanked her for her time and told her no thanks.

She then said the price was $800.00. I told her I would be back with my husband the next day. She said the dog would probably be gone. Reluctantly I left with the puppy.

A week later I returned with the dog because my Beagle was crying and barking the whole time. He is old and has a heart problem and I felt that this was to much stress.
At the store they told me I had signed a contract and could not get a refund. I must admit I didn't read the papers I signed ,I paid and left with the puppy.

I was pressured into buying the puppy in the first place.
At any rate I then left with another puppy a little bigger than the first one. I don't know what I was thinking I only knew I wasn't getting my money back.
I thought a different dog might work out with my Beagle.
Needless to say I brought that dog back the next day.

Again I explained about my 14 yr old dog and they said they would issue a store credit.I live on a limited income and I am too old to start raising a puppy now or in the next few yrs when I am almost 70.Anyone reading this that can help please post somthing on Ripoff Report.
