This company in misleading with a recorded message/claim that 'if we are late you get $50'.

They neglect to mention that there are certain guidelines that apply. You only get the $50 certificate if you are given a 2-hour appointment window...and once they attempt to contact you and they don't reach you...i.e. leave you a voice mail message....then the $50 certificate no longer applies.

I am putting my neck out as an employee of this company. I agree with you 100% that the majority of the employees are not out to take the consumers money and are out to make a living and provide for their families. And yes I know if I were expecting a plumber to my home I would make myself available and stay by the phone or carry my cell phone with me so that I could be contacted. My point is that when a customer calls in and if they are on hold they will hear a recorded message that says 'if we are late you get $50'...making the person think no matter what if the technician is late they get a $50 check....that is not true. For example if this is a return visit or the customer is not given a time window they do not get $50. This is not made clear on the recording and to me that is misleading the customer...and false advertising.

Get Real It seems now days EVERYONE WANTS SOMETHING FOR NOTHING

#5Consumer Comment

I have a spouce that works for ARS/Rescue Rooter.
This company I do agree can be SOOO stupid. BUT the paycheck my husband gets feeds, houses and clothes my five children.
What most consumers don't understand is just that. These guys go out and many of them work off commision NOT an hourly rate. And if you think that your price is to high and send them away it only takes food out of small childrens mouths. It seems now days EVERYONE WANTS SOMETHING FOR NOTHING!!
My husband is one of them that doesn't overcharge or "gouge your eyeballs out" as I have read. Any of the companies in our area are high priced and atleast you know that they are licened and trained properly on a regular basis.
If you don't want a trained well knowledged person to do your work may I suggest going to Home Depot, Lowes, or the overpriced small handyman stores and DO IT YOURSELF.
My husband comes home almost daily with stories of how much he didn't make in volume each day because of people who think they can get a $130 job for $80 seriously GET A CLUE.
Everyone from small business to big business has a "flat rate" that they go by and if it goes up its only because it is absolutly a must not to "rip you off" So as the other rebuttal I read said STOP BITCHING
Oh and for this rebuttal the $50 maybe you should answer your phone when they call or be there when you say that you will be and next time maybe you'll get that $50 coupon
