I found American Resource Center (aka ARC) posted on the Work-in-Texas (state sponsored employment site). The posting stated they were looking for work-at-home "employees" to process applications for people who were in need of government assistance with housing, food, loans, etc., paying $10/app.

The contact info on the Work-in-Texas posting directed me to their website for employment application which included I-9, W2 and direct deposit forms. RED FLAG... had to purchase for $18.98 an employee i.d. number (ARC calls it an "E-seal")which was to be attached to member apps, correspondence, etc. and personal employee forms for supposed payroll processing.

After I purchased (stupid me!) and received confirmation of my E-seal # purchase (didn't include the e-seal i.d. #), I never heard from them again, nor was able to contact them. The fax number they publish doesn't pick up, the phone number is bogus and their address is a mail order operation... not ARC. Oh boy... now they have my credit card info.

Fortunately, I did not provide them with my I-9 nor W2 info... so they didn't get my SSN, Texas DL# nor direct deposit banking info. Unfortunately, other "victims" I have had contact with provided ARC with their very personal info and have had to cancel and change their identity info. They have reported hits to their bank accounts from Europe for up to $2500. They have also reported Spyware on downloaded items from the ARC site, etc., etc. Yikes!

Texas Workforce Commission is aware of this fraudulant company. They are investigating and will hopefully prosecute ARC... if they can find them.

WARNING! Stay away from American Resource Center (ARC). They will steal your identity and your dignity. They take advantage of people who are in need of assistance and those who want to help those in need!
