Stay clear of this place!!! We were quoted over the phone for over 2 dollars a pound for various silver plated alloys and when we arrived it was much different. We overheard what seemed to be the manager/owner on the floor say to his employees to "add them to the brass pile". Didn't think much about it at first, so basically we ended up getting only slightly over a dollar a pound. In other words he pulled a fast one on the floor. It is possible whoever quoted us was not aware of this person's practice or various employees for that matter.
When he was confronted about why he charged us on the brass price, his face dropped like a deer in head lights and became very defensive, including snapping the receipt from the person I was with. I guess it is easy to be tough with a woman. Also he became belligerent and resorted to many insults/obscenities towards the woman I was with (Very professional if you ask me!), and claimed he had "millions". Well it makes you wonder why a so called millionaire needs to rip people off for less than a 100 dollars. Finally he advised the woman I was with in a cocky manner to contact the better business bureau and sure enough they did!
Needless to say, if you have no choice and have to go to this place, make sure you pay attention to when they are weighing the metals and understand the receipt before you get paid for your scrap metal. The receipt has detailed information on it regarding the money per pound. In the end it is better to find a more reputable dealer.
