In Sept 2005 American Service Center (ASC) sold me a "Certified" used car that had been damaged and repaired. I did not know this until I took it in for trade in at another dealership and the wholesaler informed me that the 2 front panels and hood had been repaired/replaced and painted, as well as front end parts replaced. This cost me about $1500.00 in trade-in value as well as the approximately $3000.00 Mercedes charges for "Certified" used cars. Mercedes USA as well as ASC basically accused me of wrecking the car myself (I didn't) and REFUSED any assistance at all. ASC's service department is incompentent as well, unable to repair transmission issues I had,and I finally took it to Mercedes Benz of Alexandria and they fixed the issue. I am disabled (can hardly walk due to MS) and the bottom line is that ASC as well as MBUSA totally screwed me. There are further reports of mine and other complaints on dealerrater.com. ASC has a reputation of doing this to alot of their customers. The public at large should find out just how BAD this dealership is.

I also bought my "certified" car from ASC and your right they didnt know crap about the problems I experienced, were unable to fix them after 5 tries and werent willing to work with me to resolve them. The issue was pretty major and was a gas leak coming from under the car, they nickel and dimed me with repairs but NOTHING they did fixed the problem. I had to take the initiative to pinpoint the problem since they were too incompetent to perform the work even after I gave the DETAILED instructions how to replicate the problem.

My car too was damaged in a prior accident and I asked them and they denied it but the cost of the "certification" does not account for body work its for mechanical warranty as I found out later.

Also, FYI...MB Alexandria is owned by the same family that owns ASC!
