American Shingle [This Company is deceptive in it's telemarketing solicitation] Douglasville, Georgia
This company is not your standard roof replacement company. They telemarket to hail damaged areas to "inspect the roof free", do not inspect and get the consumer to file a claim with their insurance company and they will subcontract a real roofing company to replace the roof. They always use "contract" help to avoid any employment taxes or benefits to either the telemarketers or the roofers. The telemarketers were forced to walk to the county building and file as independent contractors as appointment setters. This in itself should tell you something about the responsibility that these people have to their employees and thus to their customers.

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

I am an ex employee of American Shingle. I am not by any means a disgruntled ex employee. I left American Shingle because I saw way to many people filing claims on their insurance and getting roofs bought by the insurance due to damage but after they have paid American Shingle their money the roof was never put on or when it was it was such poor workmanship they were better off with their old roof. American Shingle would also go back after the work is done and say that it cost them more money than what insurance allowed and the homeowners need to pay more. I have my own set of morals and I could not work with a company any longer nor tie my name to a company that does such shady business practices.
