This Company American Sound Systems, Inc from Cincinnati rip me off like they done numerous other consumers. I saw 3 young men the leader by the name of Micheal Murphy pulled up to me in Georgetown, KY and gave me this story about how they had a surplus of high end speakers they need to sell.

I was cautious until they showed me a invoice. I thought this was a legal company they had the white van and markings on the van. They followed me over to my house and hook them up to my system. I took a chance on the speakers. I gave this guy Micheal Murphy 2 checks for 500.00 each after they left my house I check on the internet for Dogg Digital speakers an to my surprise I found out that people was being rip off across the country by this group.

I checked with my neighbor who is a cop and he told me he would look out for this group. I called the bank and found out that one of the checks was cashed by this Micheal Murphy I then cancel the other check.

I then called this company and to my suprise it's a real number so I ask this guy who is John or Walt Hawthorne about what had happen and I wanted to cancel my contract and give the speakers back to his company and in return get my 500.00 back. He agreed but that is the last time has talked to me. I called again and got this Micheal Murphy and he said 10 days he can have the money I replied no tomorrow and that is the last time I talked to him as well.

Now I called the company Dogg Digital from California and they said they don't know these individuals from Cincinnati. I explain to them that this is their product that was sold to me and they replied I am sorry. The hell with I am sorry what about your product the company don't even want their own product back.

So now I have a attorney who has told me that this company is not even registered in the state of Ohio. They don't even have a lincense to sell this product or any product in the states of Ohio or Kentucky, PA, IN. if you see these guys BEWARE they are not who they say they are I was lucky I have this Micheal Murphy SS# on my check so now we are going through the SS# if found this will be a FELONY offense against this guy unless for some reason he pays me and take back these speakers. But I am glad the speakers work. If you want to call this Company the number is 513-860-3035

Note to anyone who may be reading this report NOVEMBER 2008 onward - In January 2008 I moved to Fairfield, Ohio, and opened account with Cincinnati Bell. They gave me the phone number 513-860-3035. Since I moved in, I have been getting people calling to complain about this company, including officers of the law trying to contact the owner of the company. Let it be known that 513-860-3035, as of 1/15/2008, is NO LONGER ASSOCIATED in ANY way with Audio Dynamics or American Sound Systems. They must have gotten tired of the complaints and dropped the number, for it to be given to an innocent resident who just happened to move into town at the right time (myself).

If anyone who reads this happens to know what phone number Audio Dynamics or American Sound System can now be reached at, please provide that number to me so that I may notify individuals who call my home phone of the new contact info. The phone company can do nothing about this; I am forced to resort to the phrase "check your source for approprate contact info" and more than likely, this website IS the source.

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

American Sound is a Very Legitate Company

American Sound is an Ohio company. Return policy is printed on all receipts. Dogg Digital is a manufacturer and as the speakers were not bought from them by the consumer they would not be responsible for the return. If the consumer had followed the Return Policy printed on the receipt he would have been given a full refund if unsatisfied with the product.

Maurice and others ..I want to apologize personally

#4UPDATE EX-employee responds

Hello,

I am a former employee of American Sound Systems. I recently quit my position as a sales associate with American Sound Systems.

I want to apologize personally. Until recently I truely believed in our product. We have all of our models set up in our warehouse, and they sound great to me, and look equally good. However, I sold a surround sound system to my close friend and it sounds only o.k. with the exception of the powered sub which sounds like crap.

I sold it to him at cost (265 dollars). Which is a marginally good deal.

I am getting off the point though...Which is, I am sorry.

And to you Maurice... I was recently working in the Louisville area. I may have been one of the men that sold to you. And to you I am especially sorry I truely mean it.
