I just wanted to add to the helpful information by letting everybody know that I was in a parking lot in Douglassville, Pennsylvania today when I was approached by two white men, in their early-to-mid 20's who attempted to scam me for a pair of speakers. They told me their line.

"We have some extra speakers that weren't on our Order, and we're gonna sell them for a few bucks rather than take them back to the warehouse."

Then proceeded to show me the speakers in the van, and the box had a Retail price of $1,999 printed on it, which they were more-than-sure to point out. Then they attempted to get me to buy them for $500. I, being poor as it is, told them it wasn't what I was looking for, and I bid them a good day.

The DESCRIPTION of the men was as follows:
1. The driver was of asian descent, with dark hair, and he told me his name was "Tam" which of course I'm sure as to the honesty of. He was about 5'8 or so and very friendly.

2. The passenger was a caucasian male, about the same age, whose name I do not know. He had fairly dark brown hair, and he also was very friendly (of course he was, he was trying to rip me off).

Now, I'm well-informed about speakers and their spec's, as I'm an audio engineer, so I was led on by the MSRP of $1999 to realize that they were likely a scam. Their frequency response was only listed to go from 40hz-20khz, and at that price, they ought to dip to 20hz for the low (20hz is the lowest frequency detectable by the human ear).

I'm lucky to have not purchased anything from them, and I hope that I can help some others out by posting this article. Also, note that they allowed me to handle a set of surround-sound satellites, which were quite heavy... this they tried to use as proof that they were high-quality. They were metal, perhaps, was, but the speakers were not.
