I have received a letter from a company by the name of 'American Sweepstakes Publishers' stating that I had won a grand total of $100,254,204.00 from numerous sponsors involved in this giveaway sweepstakes. Of course it had lots of seals and signatures stamped all over it (which was a clear give away that this was a scam; to much business for the eyes to focus on the tiny print). Then there was the $12.00 one time fee; in order to receive these funds. If I actually won this amount then why not take the fee out of the winnings. Sounds to fishy. What really got me though; on this supposed winning is; the word 'guarantee' was used at least a minimum of 20 times in this letter. Please, there is no guarantee for anything in life, let alone that much money! Finally, I would like to make a note of what was hand written in a box labled 'Additional Assessment Comments'. It reads "The forgoing assessment was verified before me on 11/03/08 @ 9:42am. You are hereby advised to keep this section in a safe place for your records and return the form below at once." Signed Kevin Harris. It took you a year to locate me in reguards to over $100,000,000.00. With that much cash on the line; I think you could have found me sooner! Then when the company though they could get me (ha-ha); they have a paragraph that states; "You have PASSED the assessment and are APPROVED to receive the Prize Report containing entry directives for your opportunity to win up to 100% of the guaranteed $100,254,204.00 if you enter and win" This is where they get off the hook of us U.S. Citizens not being able to do anything about it. They used two words that all people sould look out for; "if" and "opportunity". The word "if" is never a guarantee. So everyone please beware of these scam letters and read them carefully!
