Complaint Review: American Towing and Recovery

My daughter was left stranded out of town.  My husband and I called this company the night before and was told that it would be $175 to tow her car.  Once we got to the car, we called the company and they said would be 2 hours before they could get there.  Once we tried to verify the price we were quoted, the phone suddenly disconnected.  I tried to call back and got a busy signal.  No answer.  Here we were in a strange town with no one to call, depending on this company to keep their promise to tow the car.  We finally found someone else after 2 hours of driving thru this town on a Saturday morning.  Everyone we tried to call was closed. The company we finally found  was a blessing.  They only charged $135 and graciously towed the car with great expertise and great customer service.  American Towing and Recovery  is not reliable and if you need a tow, call someone else.  You will be left stranded where ever you are.  I do not recommend this company.  Very bad customer service.
