American Truck Showrooms American Truck Group This company changes it's name due to their reputation. Gulfport, Mississippi
This company is like my ex-wife who after the divorce and having taken
everything minus my spirit she changed her last name back. Now this
company just like my ex can change their name but they will always be
money thieving whores. They will f**k you, steal every last dime you
earned plus the truck and as far as the company, it will take your spirit.
This company is owned by Louis J Normand, Jr. Let no one fool you. I
have done my research. To be technical a trust he formed owns it but he
is the executor and quite a dirty one at that. I told him years ago on
the phone that I would never forget what his company did to me. It has
taken me seven years to get back on my feet since he put me in
bankruptcy.
Whatever they call themselves, they will not tell you what your payment
is until you have been at their dealership waiting on incompetent
mechanics for days and you are ready to leave. Then they take you into a
room to go over the contract. They purposefully do not tell you certain
very important details on the phone or explain this thirty something
page contract to you. You will have your truck picked up by a repo agent
before you can even pick up your first load. They know where you are at
all times because there is at least two GPS units in every truck.

Let me get this straight. You want to pay them close to $500 to
approve you to go into a program with a record like this? While you are
at it go ahead and give them the rest of your money and all that you can
borrow. They will have it soon enough and if you do it on the phone it
will save you a walk home since they are know to repo if you are 5
minutes late on your weekly payment.
I will be uploading a copy of my contract and a buddy of mine so you can see ahead of time what they never will. Check out American Truck Group and United Truck Group here on Rip Off Report.
Call the MS Attorney General's office and ask them about the complaints on these companies.
If you get a truck from these crooks you will fail quickly and be miserable the entire time from breakdowns and the harrassing phone calls from their collection department currently named National Truck Funding. Remember then that I told you so.

kinda funny i have been with these guys for right at a year with no problems, and this repo stuff i keep seeing... yeah funny. I made some bad decisions and ended up behind in payments . But i stay in contact i dont avoid them.. and look no repo guy.. not everyone can do this.. someone always has something to say.. and all they want is there money.. and keep in mind your buying a used truck , this is not a new truck lot.. so come on.. and im getting another truck from them in February after i pay this one off. There great folks everyone dont let a few bad apples scare you off cause they couldnt handle the real industry...

I did some research on my own for this company recently. When I looked it up on the Better Business Bureau website, it had an A-plus rating. And I started wondering.
There are other options out there like Angie’s List and Yelp, to name a few of the better known. Just those three rating services alone give millions of people information about millions of companies every year. Consumers and companies find them very useful on one extreme or worse than useless on the other. But few know how they actually work.
So here are some tips on how the raters rate to help you decide how much credence to give the information they provide, starting with the Better Business Bureau, the oldest and arguably best known.
First of all, it’s important to lay out what the Better Business Bureau is and isn’t. It isn’t a government agency and has no enforcement power. And despite often being labeled such, it is not a consumer watchdog organization.
And don’t drive yourself crazy. Remember that one or two people can really skew the process. Consumers Report looked at one plumbing company in the San Francisco area for its review. Angie’s List gave it a grade of F based on a review by one irate customer. It was an accredited company with the Better Business Bureau, which awarded it an A-plus, with two complaints deemed resolved. And based on 20 reviews, it received a 2.5 out of maximum of 5 on Yelp.

#5UPDATE EX-employee responds

This place changes their name roughly every 2 years due to complaints and lawsuits. They had 2 guys that would sit at a computer all day and go to all the complaint sites, including this one to file fake glowing reports about this business.
They go thru employees faster than a teenage girl goes thru boyfriends and clothes. They already have the Repo paperwork ready the same day you sign the contract, because they know they have you stuck there and railroad you into a payment you can't possibly keep up with. They "read the contract to you" as fast as they can so you don't have enough time to actually understand what you're signing. And you are lucky if you manage to pick up a load before the auction block heap falls apart. Their "highly experienced mechanics" are all shade tree backyard mechanics that believe zip ties will fix anything! Unless yall spread the word by email, text, CB, etc. More and more truckers will fall to the same fate.
