My company decided to transfer me from VA to San Diego CA. I quickly planned the move and had quite a few estimates given to me to move all my stuff. American Van Lines won my contract for this cross country move and I was promised pleanty of things from the sales assoicate Mike Olsen.

I paid my deposit of nearly 1500 early Feb. Signed a contract with the ETA pick up of 2/27 and Drop off of 3/5-3/17. This move has been a nightmare since that moment. Right away I was informed that I need to make sure Im at my san Diego address by March 5, bc I  can incure other costs if the movers get there before me. I recieved a phone call on 2/27, informing me that they may be a day late to pick up my stuff, Which made it diffcult for me because I had to be out of my house by 2/29. Needless to say, the movers arrived shortly after that phone call on 2/27 and had no idead why customer service would lie.

The movers were nice enough, but after looking over my itenery, I noticed that every box and item had initial next to it meaning damaged or wore. Seemed shaddy since some items were new in box. I never heard anything again from the company.

By march 5th I decided to call. They put me on hold and transfered me to 3 different people. Finally after a few hours, I was put on the phone with Julian, my account manager. He had no information to give me at all.

By March 9, I was promised my furniture will be here by 3/15-16. By March 12, It was moved to 3/22 bc of "unexpected weather and delays" Which is odd that a weather delay pushes ur move back one week.

March 16, I was told i will get my things by 3/23 and someone will call me on 3/19 to confirm. Of course no one called. I called again today 3/20 and No news to be given.

Worst part is, I am a single mom witha 4 yr old, who i cannot enroll in school because I have no records or birth certificate on me. SO without any preschool, i have had to miss work for 3 days now. Also, sleeping on air mattresses, my daughter broke out into an allergic reaction. I have pictures.

With no end in site this seems to be mine and my 4 yr olds life for awhile. All because some terrible company is more worried about making money then customer service. I hope that a lawyer can read this a start a class action suit.

This move was a nightmare, and now my daughter is suffering. I will never use this company again and never advise anyone to use them either.. RUN!!!
