I recently contacted the American War Library run by a man named Phil Coleman (with too AKA' to print) online in regards to getting a replacement Medal from my service in Vietnam.

After completing the online forms and making a payment, I was then required to summit a copy of my DD214 for proof that I had earned the medal.

I decided to send my DD214 by Certified US Mail. Weeks passed and I had not heard back from the AWL so I email them with an inqurie as to a time frame until I would recieve my replacement medal.

I received a reply stating they never recieved my DD214. They told me it is better to just email it. I did not feel right about emailing but I relent and sent it via email.

I got another email telling me they are not going to do business with me and that if I called this phone number they (AWL) included in the email, I could purchase it from them.

I continured to email the AWL several more times without success. I now unable to get a reply. The loss of money is small. Howerver, being con out of my DD214 is very serious to me. I feel this man will use it to profit by selling my personal info.

It should be memion that I did try to research the AWL prior to doing business with them and did not see your Ripoff report at that time.

I am at a loss to understand why, if this so called Phil Coleman has been doing this to Veterans for so many years, why hasn't the FBI or Local Lar Enforcement busted him for fraud and thief.

Please continue reporting on ripoff crime so other Veterans can be safe. I fear it is to late for me now that he has all my info and is now selling it

Sincerely

Curt
