American Web Loan AWL Borrowed $800 in 8/2012. AWL has taken out $1440. Called them and they said if I don't go in and enter a payment then the $240 they are taking out every payday is just fees! So apparently I still o Internet
This company is a total scam. Very deceptive practices. I borrowed $800 in Aug. 2012. I work in a school and didn't work the summer and needed a loan prior to my first payday. Obviously some fees are expected when you take out a loan. My paydays and direct debiting from my account were arranged. So as of today 11/9/12, AWL has taken out $1440.00. I called and spoke with "Carla". She stated that the $240.00 per pay period is all fees and because I did not go on line 4 days prior to payday and enter the payment, the original loan of $800 is still owed! WOW what a rip-off, scam. She stated it was explained to me 3 times and sent in writing. NO IT WAS NOT! Biggest mistake I have made. Please don't fall for the same scam I did. Stay away from American Web Loan or any quick payday loans. It has left me screwed!!!
