Americana Animal Hospital Incorrect medication and rude staff, Internet
We had our puppy spayed here. We were told by several people on the staff to not bother with a cone and to just give her the prescribed pain medicine. After a week the dog had pulled out some of her stitches and we had to bring her to an emergency clinic to get her stitched back up. At the emergency clinic we found out they gave us the wrong dosage of pain medicine. They gave us a 12 hour pill to give the dog once a day; so the pain medicine wore off overnight.
When we called to tell the vet what happened he started to launch personal attacks against us. He criticized us for taking our dog to the emergency clinic, even though she was bleeding and clearly infected.
The staff there is rude and the vet is unprofessional. This vet office has the least traffic of any other vet I've seen and it turns out there is a reason for that.
