I signed up for the online "training" which consisted of an online slide show and a talking head in the upper right corner.  The 45-minute presentation consisted a few informational slides, including a CNN Money report (supposedly) showing that the median income for recruiters was $77,000.  They told us that they would send us job boards, then we would cut and paste and advertise for the position.  The job involved recruiting others to work for various companies.  They would then tell us that they could only accept 40 new people.  We were directed to "joinara.com", where we were given 2 payment options beginning at $317.  Several minutes passed while people allegedly signed up and the number of people able to begin tomorrow ticked down.

During the live chat, I typed in "why does your company have 2 different names (Americans Recruiting Association and Ten Star Recruiting)?  My question did not appear on the board.  Someone was obviously editing the chat, if it was being received at all.  The whole thing just seems very fishy to me.  They made it sound so easy and so lucrative.  In other words, too good to be true.

Has anyone else dealt with them?

I have been looking for a better job for about 6 months now and received an email from this company. It was titled Regarding your resume and I opened it and thought it was a legitimate company. I clicked on the link to schedule the appointment. I decided to research the company before I did the company overview today at 1pm. I found this report and realized that one of the rebuttals on here was from the same exact person that I received the email from the only difference was that on mine she was Human Resources and on the one here she was career specialist. Job Opportunity Scam

#10REBUTTAL Individual responds

Mon, May 14, 2012

This was sent to me this morning.  It becomes discouraging when you are trying to look for a job that will fit your skills sets to make  some income,  but when someone e-mails you with this " too good to be true" job opportunity, and of course turns out to be a FRAUD, it can be very upsetting. I do not take kindly into people taking advantage of those who are unemployed. So many people have been unemployed for so many years, and they are almost willing to try anything to make substantial income. I researched this company, and of course found out they were scammers; thanks to ripoff report =). This is another reason why it is so important to research a company before one considers.

I was sent an email regarding great pay and little effort.  I read the email and it sounded too good to be true.  I finally got an email stating that in one simple step I could start making over 45,000 annually.  It really sounded too good to be true but I wanted to make sure before passing up any opportunity for employment.

I have been looking for full time work for over 4yrs now with no luck.  I have even applied for jobs I am over qualified, under qualified and perfect match for.  I figure, what do I have to loose with this economy which they claim is getting better although it's not.  So I signed up for Wed overview at 1pm.  I figured it was going to be a legitimate place  to meet them but when I got the details I couldn't find an address other than Florida.  I live in Colorado.

So I email this "Janice" lady back asking what the address is but I never get a response.  In fact she sends me an email asking me if I got her email regarding this great opportunity.  I replay, "I have and signed up for the Wed overview but I am confused, is this strictly over the internet?"  I received no follow up email and today I get an email saying your online overview is about to begin in 45 minutes.

So I log on and watch 30 minutes of an overview and right when they are explaining what the job actually requires you to do I get kicked off.  I try to re connect although I have no luck.  I send "Janice" and email but she never responds.  At this point I'm feeling frustrated, as if I had just let this opportunity fly by me because my computer is too slow.

I am so glad I read these reports because now I don't feel so bad.  I'm sure it's a scam as from what I've read here.  I am so disappointed that even in our economy there are people still trying to pull scams on people.  We have become so trusting in this day and age mostly because we are desperate to keep our heads above water.  It just goes to show you really can only trust a job you actually clock into every day.

These people will NOT leave me alone. I get e-mails from them every single day. I received the original e-mail in December. I clicked the link and signed up for the webinar. After further consideration I was a no show to what they term "their online interview process."

A couple of days had past and I received an e-mail apologizing that they missed me and wanted to reschedule. I never responded. Again today 2/14/2012 I have another e-mail from them:

Where my name should have been %First-Name%% appeared. I was even requested to call the man to discuss getting my resume updated. Notice how a number wasn't listed. I again clicked the link requesting to schedule. Unlike the first time I clicked it in December I was routed to http://saxonrecruiting.com/registration.php

I then googled saxonrecruiting and really didnt find anything on them.   I did however find a company called Saxon Recruitment with a web address @ http://www.saxonrecruitment.com/  It seems reputable.

I'm sure they did this on purpose. With the hope someone wouldn't pay close attention and fall for it. To me this thing has SCAM all over it.

A Complete scam !!!!  None or your questions get answered  or even show up on the chat board as it seems his wife screens all that come in and chooses what they want to show. Very amateur video conference all from what looks like their basement , fine husband and wife scam team . They need to be hunted down and thrown in prison.

I took the webinar today too. I started asking questions about money back guarantee and legitimacy. I was directed to their own site for legitimacy. I asked for someone else that would verify their legitimacy. I started reading their "terms". I then posted they offer a 3 day money back guarantee, but that their terms state they can change their terms at any time. That post did not show up and then the "director" posted "(my name) do NOT take a position. haha So if you question their legitimacy, they don't want you. Imagine that. Sure glad I'm not rich or I might have blown the money. I love recruiting and I am very good at it. But yes, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

It is very telling that an email message is copyrighted.  I would like to know which job search site, provided them with my email address.  It is possible that they set up a dummy job search site, to solicit resumes to.

1)  Generally speaking, anything with a fee is a scam.

2)  Both websites are new.  tenstarecruiting.com was registerred on 6/13/2011 and joinara.com was registerred on 6/28/2011.

this is a well known scam, they get you to think your getting a job and make you pay for "training materials", then they never correspond with you again.
