This company tried to scam me last week.  I read some scam reports about them bilking people out of $300 when they offer you a job as a work from home recruiter.  They change their name.  Do not let them get away with it!  The only way they can be stopped is that everyone who encounters them warn other people before they are able to get one red cent.  They prey on jobless people by stalking websites where people are looking for jobs.  Then they send you the email (attached below) that tells you to set up a job interview with them by computer.  Their only purpose is to collect money from you.  This is the email I received:

I am in no way, shape, or form associated with Americans Recruiting Association; but I am in the recruiting industry and have been for 15 years. After reading your Rip Off Report about Americans Recruiting Association it is obvious you know nothing about career recruiting. Americans Recruiting Association is a "Split Placement" recruiting company. This means that all the recruiters associated with them are private recruiters working for themselves. They pay a fee to Americans Recruiting Association for lists of companies that have jobs to be filled. Once the recruiter places a candidate at one of these jobs, then the company pays a fee to Americans Recruiting Association and to the recruiter. The fee is split 50/50, hence the "Split Placement". The fee paid is typically about 15 to 20% of the new hires annual salary. For example: Acme Company has a chemist position they need filled with a starting salary of $100,000. Americans Recruiting Association lists this position on their job board. The private recruiter has paid a fee to access those job boards and he or she comes across this job and thinks they may have a candidate who has the qualifications to fill the job. The recruiter sends the candidate's resume to Acme; Acme is interested and they call the recruiter and set up an interview. The candidate interviews and gets the job; then Acme pays a fee of 20% of the $100,000 salary which is $20,000. So the recruiter and Americans Recruiting Association splits the fee equally, both receiving $10,000. The return on the recruiters investment in order to access Americans Recruiting Association's job boards was pretty darn good.

This is how all recruiting organizations operate. After looking at Americans Recruiting Association's website, it appears that they are only charging a one time fee for access. Most recruiting organizations charge around $1,000 for membership then a monthly maintenance fee after that. Google the big names like Staffing Force or Top Echelon and you will see that they all do this. This is not a scam.
