AmeriCare Health, or HealthCare America, National Alliance, or Affinity Health Plans, many of the names this company has cycled through in its short existence. I've worked as a sales rep for this company under two names, and wish I could take back what I've done.
I've sold these "health plans" to families, couples, expecting parents, and the elderly. My bosses assured me that everything I was doing was legit, but constant calls from customers complaining about their claims not getting paid worried me. Then I did my research on our parent company, the American Trade Association. This company has cease and desist orders in many states, but continues to ruin lives in the states it still can.
Why would a legitimate company selling legitimate product need to hide itself behind routed phone numbers? If you call AmeriCare's sales office, you'll likely call 877-595-4330 or one of the many 800 numbers they have, or a 623 area code. The agent will tell you he is in Phoenix Arizona, as I was trained to do, but the company has always been in Fresno California. Many consumers may remember when we were "based in Los Angeles." Again, this is a cover up. Why would a scam want people to know where it operates? Ask one of AmeriCare's sales reps where they're physically located, and you'll get a different address and zip code from every rep.
I've moved on from this company. I have a family, and a conscience, and could no longer continue to receive calls from customers I had lied to and sold this terrible product. Please, if you're thinking about buying one of their plans, DON'T. I used to sell it, I had to lie to earn business, and your agent will do the same.

I am offering a monetary reward to whomever can lead me to the ownership of AC Health and it's many aliases.

Go to the website and check the 'Contact Us' page. No physical address shown. That's a red flag anytime. Why would a legitimate company want to conceal its physical address??

I'd believe the original story even more.

The things I stated as far as the insurance company not paying its claims were bogus. I had never once received a complaint from a customer that his/her claim was not paid according to the outline of benefits for their plan. I wrote this report out of spite for management who had terminated me from the company at a very inopportune time, and wanted to do what I could to get back at them. If you are speaking with a representative of the company, and he seems genuine, he is, so don't let my previous rant I'd admittedly written out of anger dissuade you from purchasing the health care you need.
