Complaint Review: Americas Best BBQ

Avoid Americas Best BBQ with a passion unless you enjoy waiting months for your order. On 12/22/2005 I ordered wood for my new Bradley Meat Smoker from Americas Best BBQ. They were a featured vendor on Bradley's website. My credit card was changed the same day. Their website said 2-3 week lead time for delivery. In early January 2006 I tried to call to check on the order. It became clear that they do not answer their phone. You must leave a message which does not get returned.

I sent several e-mails. Their response was that their normal delivery is 2-3 weeks but this was running late and would take 3-4 weeks. I sent several more e-mails but they refused to answer them. I guess they figured that one answer should be enough. I finally sent them an e-mail giving them a drop dead date to provide me with shipping info. Again no answer. I checked with the BBB of Kansas City, Mo and found out that they had hundreds of delivery complaints and that they were not recommended. I then resorted sending a note to Bradley Industries. They apologized and said they receive constant complaints about the vendor and that apparently the vendor holds the money for the order as long as they can and then sends the order to Bradley. My threatening note apparently got their attention. The order came on 2/8 still with no note from them about delivery. Their a very arrogant bunch of SOB's. I find it hard to believe they can stay in business. I recommend paying a bit more at another company.
