I am so delighted that you things worked out for you and your experience with MTM. However, it did not work out for hundreds of us even though we did all of the right things, gave up our application fees, and did as instructed by this rip off company. It just so happens that this company does not do as they say they will. Trust me Pam, if this company did to you what it did to us you would be mighty upset yourself.

OKAY...here's the new juice. I went to the new eHomes (americasbesthomeloans.com); aka: Money Tree Mortgage, website. I filled out an application. I actually recieved a response from non other than....RANDY WEBSTER!!! This took place in June of 2004. Now, let us not forget that this company has had their license revoked in the state of North Carolina. Check out Randy's response...You'll love it!!!

This company is a joke! They will tell you anything to get that app fee in their hands. Now keep in mind Pam....they have not only a bogus name but a social security number....and doesn't it sound as though they have really checked me out and by gosh!...they have concluded that yes, we can send you the documents and you can return them...with your application fee of course!! Hahahahahahahaha. Pam, go to hell!

Number one, the ONLY reason you p*** us off Pamela, is not WHAT you say neccessarily, but the way you attack the people who have been wronged, and taking up for the criminals who have wronged us! Not to mention the way you blame the VICTIMS who have been scammed by a fraudulant company for not lying down and taking it. Instead they have chosen to stand up for themselves and others to make sure it never happens again. At least not by this same so-called mortgage company! So don't flatter yourself by thinking your words can anger or hurt us. We have been angered and hurt far more than what you could possibly dish out. Number two, how the h-ll would you know if things haven't or won't work out for us? You don't know s--t!

As a matter of fact, we DID close on our house over four months ago, with a LEGITIMATE mortgage company! So if we were so bad, and it was OUR fault as to why MTM wouldn't close on a house for us as you say it is, then why would another mortgage company close us in less than five weeks, start to finish? Especially a well known company who has been in the business for over 50 YEARS!!!!

And last but not least, yes we have all made mistakes in our lifetime, some were made more than once. And they were all definitely learned from. Just like we have learned to stand up for what we believe is right, and what we know is wrong. And that is exactly what we're doing.
And by the way, if MTM is such a great company who has done nothing wrong, then why are there so many complaints against them? Why have the owners been arrested and charged with over 16 felonies?

Why is the FBI involved? There are legitimate mortgage companies who have to turn people down for loans every day, and yet they don't have hundreds of complaints against them. They don't have felonies, and they certainly don't have the FBI on them! So tell me, how is that MTM is so innocent and all of us are so wrong? Can you answer these questions for me and everyone else?
Or can you FINALLY admit that you DON'T know the FACTS, and can only spew venom and hatred at people who disagree with you?

Well sweetie, we did not get scammed out of 20 bucks by someone selling crap out of the trunk of his car, we got scammmed out of HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS by a company that was supposed to be legit! And a lot of the victims got scammed out of a HOME!!!! Hundreds of dollars and a home is a lot to lose dear! Or are you one of those who have never had to work for anything, and always had s--t handed to you on a silver platter? These are hard working law abiding citizens who only wanted to buy a home for their families. People who didn't have a lot of money for huge down payments. MTM promised them both - a home with little or no money down. And guess what? They got screwed out of their homes and their money! This is not a game! This is people's lives here! You don't screw with that! So please just do us all a favor and keep your mouth shut. You may think you're helping MTM by putting us down and raving about them. But all you're really doing is pissing us off more!

Mortgage tactics lead to charges

The former operator of an Olathe mortgage business was charged Tuesday with 31 counts of theft and computer crime.

Johnson County prosecutors said there were many other potential victims of the Money Tree Mortgage business that Todd M. Webster ran.

Webster, 33, of Woodstock, Ga., appeared Tuesday in Johnson County District Court, where he is charged with 16 counts of theft and 15 counts of computer crime.

The thefts are misdemeanors, because the amount allegedly taken in each case was less than $500. But prosecutors say that in 15 of the thefts a computer was used to facilitate the alleged crimes. Each of those counts is a felony.

The business is now closed, but white-collar crime investigators in the Johnson County district attorney's office said they received numerous complaints from consumers who said they had paid money to the company after being led to believe they could qualify for home loans.

Prosecutors allege that the company took $300 initial application fees from customers, knowing that the applicants were unlikely to qualify for loans because of bankruptcies or bad credit histories. The initial payments were not returned, according to the charges.

The alleged crimes occurred between January and July of last year, according to court documents.

Attorney Pat Miller represented Webster at Tuesday's initial court appearance. Miller could not be reached after the hearing.

Webster was released from custody later Tuesday after posting a $35,000 bond. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Aug. 17.

I think that the two happy customers of MTM are actually employees of MTM. How do I know this you might ask? Well, they are the kind of people who would make up testimonials about their own company.

I was a client (victim) as well several years ago when the application fee was $200! I have read hundreds of stories of how they did us wrong and it makes me ill! It makes me even more angry when I hear people like these women raving about a company that takes application fees knowing they will never help people and food out out of my children's mouths! I have filed my complaint with the BBB and with the Department of Banking and Finance in North Carolina. Money tree responds to the Dept with lies lies lies. I sent a response and proved them to be lies with numerous facts and paper work to back it up. No different than any of these other stories I have heard.

Money Tree, eHomes, Americas Best Home Loans...whoever they are today turned my family upside down. I believed these people when they said they would help me. How was I to know I was merely intended to be their next client (victim)?! When I started my process they had 4 complaints with the BBB now they have almost 200!!! Now put that in your pipe and smoke it Lucy! I am happy for the MERE TWO satisfied clients and as for the rest of us victims who are educated and trying to make the best our lives I think you should shut your mouth until you have walked in our shoes and been screwed by Randy Webster who is the biggest crook I have ever had dealt with! This is in response to Pamela and Lucy.... I am really happy for you two. You are the only two people I know of who has dealt with Money Tree Mortgage and didn't get screwed! Money Tree Mortgage did nothing but give me the run around for months. They told me after I found my house, that it was okay to go ahead and move in before closing, that we would close with in the next seven days. That was October 24,2003. Finally after three more months of excuses and "problems", I found out that they were a fraud! Luckily the owners of the home were awesome people and worked with us so we didn't have to move. But we had to start all over trying to buy our home. We found another mortgage company a couple of months later, and with in five weeks we were closed. We closed on our home April 30,2004, NINE MONTHS after the first phone call with Money Tree. So don't tell me it's us who are the problem, when anyone with any kind of brain at all can see that it's Money Tree.
Lucy you said, and I quote, "....stupid illiterate people who have made a career of screwing their lives up and are now trying to get even...". Your d--n right I'm going to do my very best to get even with Money Tree! I almost lost my home because of them! Not to mention the money I lost, and all the stress I gained! I'm not sure why you insist on wasting space & people's time on this site. You & Lucy are still only 2 out of hundreds of people not scammed by MTM. The site is rip-off report & every elses rebuttals go along with the initial response except for yours & Lucy's.

If you scroll back up you will see the reason I left MTM. Maybe I should put it in caps for you to read. I'VE HAD TO GET A PERSONAL ATTORNEY INVOVLED TO SUE RANDY WEBSTER & MTM FOR MONEY THEY OWE ME FOR LOANS I CLOSED. THE AMOUNT THEY OWE ME IS $10k. I would say that's a good reason to leave? If I'm going to get screwed out of my money why should I work? The job was commissioned based.

I was also the second employee he did this to in 2mths. The othe rperson was owed $5k but was able to settle out of court. Randy was scared that person would tell everyone the other things he did inside the company. Randy made that person sign a gag order to get his money, or else he would be on this site to. I still speak to him so I know.

No one in their right mind would stay under those circumstances. I'm sure you wouldn't & if you are willing to do weeks worth of work without pay then I've got a job for you. I own part of a night club & could really use someone like yourself to clean all S***T out of the restrooms! What do ya think?

As for Ron, I'll side with you on that topic. Another issue I had at MTM, was I refused to call people that couldn't qualify. Randy tried to reason with me on several occasions but I held my ground. It actually had a whole lot to do with why I left also, he tried to give me a quota of how many unqualified apps to collect.

Ron, he knew what he was doing a stayed all the way to the end. He seems to not care just as long as he gets paid! I know Randy didn't hire him to do loans, because Randy would fire his telemarketers if they figured out how much they can make off of the loan.

Like I said before, Randy Webster hired inexperienced people who didn't know better. Why settle for $50 for collecting an application, if you can get over $1,500 average per closed loan? Only someone who doesn't know better would chose the other option.

Ron might have backed me with my statement but he should because he knows I'm right! I'm not telling any lies, I don't need to. None of the other people are you lying either, they're just expressing their experience just like you & Lucy.

The only difference is that Pam & Lucy are the only ones who can say anything good about MTM! I'm actually glad that Randy didn't get to screw everyone out of the applications. I do know this, if you did close a loan with him you got over charged in your fees. I'm almost certain your closing costs were over 3% probably even 4%. The average is around 2.5% or lower.

I'm not going to keep going around in circles with either of you. Lucy, just for the record (BOLD) face lies not BALD! Pam, you have your opinions while everyone else has their facts. If everyone else including myself is wrong, then why are the FEDs involved. There are local appraisers that are being black listed from doing their job with investors because of the things Randy would force them to do.

The last check I cashed from MTM was at Randy's personal bank, a comment was made to me by the bank teller. She said, I was smart to bring the check to his bank, because he's known for screwing people out of money. That was from someone I didn't know & over 2yrs ago. What goes around comes around eventually. Which is why I don't lie, cheat, steal or work with MTM anymore!

I AM A FORMER AND LATEST EMPLOYEE OF MONEY TREE MORTGAGE. IN MY LAST WEEK OF WORKING THERE, THE POLICE AND FBI CAME IN WITH GUNS BLAZING AND RAMSACKED THE PLACE. I GIVE YOU A LOT OF CREDIT JASON BECAUSE YOU SPEAK THE TRUTH! ALSO, I WAS WITH MONEYTREE WHEN THEY CHANGED THEIR NAME AND MOVED DOWN THE STREET. GUESS WHAT? MY LAST CHECK SAID WAS UNDER MONEYTREE MORTGAGE WHEN I WAS WITH AMERICA'S BEST HOME LOANS FOR 2 WEEKS! WHAT'S THAT ALL ABOUT. ANOTHER FUNNY THING IS THAT ANOTHER EMPLOYEE AND PERSONAL FRIEND OF MINE WAS GIVEN A PERSONAL CHECK RIGHT OUT OF HIS MOTHER'S CHECK BOOK. MAYBE WE SHOULD TAKE THOSE NUMBERS OFF THE BOTTOM OF THE CHECK AND BUY A FEW THINGS ON-LINE. HA,HA!

This is Jason I wrote the report above. Yes I had some words spelled wrong but I'm not an idiot(Lucy) I work for another company based in FL & most of my business is through referrals only so I've got to be doing something right!

So there's now two whole clients actually pleased with the service they recieved from MTM. The only reason you had an experience good to write about is because you actually gualified for a loan or you'd be another person scammed for an application fee.

I closed loans for MTM & clients were happy, most of these staments made by people on here were after I left the company. Randy started is scamming after I left because he did hire uneducated & inexperienced people to work.

If you check out their new site, they have testimonials of people here in Woodstock just as pleased as you say you are. The only problem with their statements is it's impossible to have a happy client in a state your not authorized to do business in, like GA! I'm going to assume that Lucy & Pamela probably aren't real either.

Could be that it's Pam D is Randy's aunt? As for Lucy who knows but based on the IP info you can't be who you say you are.

What's the chances that everyone else is just trying to get back at a company that screwed them? Pretty d**n good, look at the reports. Notice anything interesting? They all have basicly the same story to tell & those are just the people that have knowledge of these sites.

Now on the flip side here are Lucy & Pamela that are just thrilled with the service that MTM gave them. My answer to that is, if you are real MTM probably did your loan when I was there when they actually closed loans.

If the two of you women are so happy with the company in guestion, why are you browsing a site about their complaints? I know I don't research a company that I do business with after I was pleased with their service. Seems like your actions are a little delayed. Which brings me back to the topic of fake statements like on their new site.

MTM collected 200-300 applications a month & they have two clients that are actually happy, that's a whole 1% satisfied! Might have something to do with why they aren't doing business anymore & the F.B.I is going to be indicting them for what they've done. Looks like the two of you will have to find another company to close you future loans with!

I just wanted to make another response to the comment about cutting the hand off that fed me! I've had to get a personal attorney you idiot to get the $$ owed to me for work I did because Randy Webster thinks he can get away with it. I was the second employee that he did it to in two months. So tell me this, how would you feel if you worked for 3wks & your boss told you he wasn't going to pay you because he didn't feel like it?

I'll answer that one for you, you would do the same d**n thing myself & everyone else is doing. So you can come down off you pedistal of rightjeousness & not judge the people that have experienced what we have. Maybe you need to learn to read & pay attention to detail. This site is ripoff-report not the praise-report. So go take a long walk off a short pier, you idiots!

Where does a little slimeball like our friend and "allie" (can't even spell) Jason get off bad-mouthing a reputable company like Moneytree Mortgage. It seems to me that telling bald-face lies on the internet should carry more of a penalty than conducting a reputable business enterprise. He sounds just like a disgruntled employee trying to get even. What kind of rat turns on the hand that fed him. You've had several so-called ex-employees on your site, spewing their poisons. I wouldn't let any of them carry out my trash.

Moneytree handled my re-finance like a breeze. Even after I walked out on them and went to another company, who proceeded to royally screw things up, when I went back to Moneytree, Leslie graciously picked right up where we left off and my deal was done in no time. She was professional with a capital P and guided me through the whole process with ease. I don't know what all the complaints are about. Most of them seem to be from stupid and illiterate people, who have made a career of screwing their lives up and are now trying to "get even". I think some people need to grow up and take responsibility for themselves. Moneytree is not your problem...YOU are.

Moneytree Mortgage company handled two home loans for me in such a competent and professional manner that I subsequently recommended them to several friends, who also had positive experiences. I found them to be helpful and courteous and the whole experience was virtually pain-free. I am writing this because I cannot believe the mob mentality that is currently operating to defame this reputable company and I felt compelled to give my version of dealings with them. I will be purchasing another home in the near future and would not hesitate to use this company again.
