Americas Servicing Company unreachable, no website ripoff Des Moines Iowa
After refinancing my home in Sept. of 2005 to consoldate my credit card debt, I was unfortunate enough to be introduced to America's Servicing Company after my loan was sold to them. I was never sent any information concerning this transfer except from the original lender I had did the refinance with. I did not know where to send my loan payment and to whom. I searched on the internet for a website for this company and there so far is none. Finally I recieved a bill for 2 months mortgage payments and was informed that I was being charged a late payment.
I have never been late on my mortgage since I purchased my home in June of 2000 further more I was stumped as what to do? Well , there was a phone number on the statement so I attemped to call, I mean attempted! I got a recording that to pay my loan on the phone it would be a 15.00 charge and would not post for at least 3 days!!! well angry and upset I continued to try and reach a real live representative by phone and not once did I get anyone!
After 3 days of continuous calling , put on hold by recordings, given payment options by a computer voice, etc. I finally had to make my payment on the phone and got stiffed for the 15.00 fee!! (I would like to say was done by the recording)
Shortly after this I recieved another payment coupon in the mail that had been updated with my recent payment but did not contain any information as to future payment options, etc. I am a busy person and do make many payments to my creditors online and you would think that a mortgage company as widespread as this one
appears to be that they would have a website you could investigate or a human being on the other end of their phone numbers.
I can only hope that my loan will be transferred to another company as I have no idea what to do with these people.
If anyone knows of anyway of getting a hold of these people or some other options to get information on this company I would greatly appreciate any input you may have.
