AmeriCredit ripoff Fort Worth Texas
I would like to join the masses in an attempt to find ANYONE ANYWHERE that would like to sue AmeriCredit. These people think they are Gods and can get away with murder. My husband and I purchased a brand new Sunfire. The lender turned out to be AmeriCredit. We have had nothing but headaches and heartaches with Americredit. Yes, I admit I was late with my some of my payments. When you get laid off, it is not easy to make payments. And does Americredit understand? Of course not! Because of my credit, my husband's name is on the loan, not mine. But I am the one making the payments. They are constantly calling my husband during the day at his work even though I have specifically asked them not to and even told them that my husband was on the verge of receiving a verbal reprimand at work because of them calling. I worked my butt off to get caught up all the while getting chastised for not paying my payment by check by phone or Western Union (an extra charge on both). I paid it through the internet.
My husband got to the point of telling them that he could care less about the car and he had no clue what was going on with the car. They have been very ignorant and rude and told him he should take responsibility for the car and the loan.
He has told them to call me. I had one lady (Hope) ask me very personal questions like was my husband and I living together. When I asked about what that had to do with the car getting paid, they said something along the lines that I would be violating their contract if I wasn't living with him. HELLO? My name isn't anywhere on the loan so it shouldn't make any difference if I live with him or not.
We finally decided to give up the car. They had offered me a deferement but I had to make one month's car payment plus the deferement fee. This came to over $500 so what help does that give me? When they called asking about the status and I asked them where they wanted us to take the car, the guy from Americredit again went into some very personal questions.
He asked me how much was my monthly income. I asked him why he needed to know that. He said that "they were trying to determine if we could afford the car". I told him where we were turning it in, that was none of his business. He then asked how I was going to get around. Again I told him that was none of his business and I would figure that out.
I encourage anyone out there to NEVER go with Americredit. They are harassing, degrading, rude people who do not read any notes you may ask them to put on the computer. They also treat you like you are an idiot without a brain in your head about the reprocussions of turning a car back into them (We even told them we may have someone buying the car and they told me I couldn't just give this person the car and that the person had to get a loan - ummm, hello, yes I know that!).
They want their "accounts" to call them right back or to do a check by phone (an extra $7 charge) or Western Union (an extra $14 charge) because it is the "fastest" way to get the payment to them. Bull crap I say. Even if you do it that way, they don't post your payments in a timely manner nor do they call you back when they say they are going to call you back. Yet, they make you feel like the scum of the earth if you don't answer your phone or don't make your payments.
PLEASE CAN'T ANYONE OUT THERE HELP MAKE AMERICREDIT TASTE A BIT OF THEIR OWN MEDICINE?

They treat everyone like scum because they are.
They are nothing but a bunch of loansharks and I would love to join a class action lawsuit against these lowlifes. The more you can get to join, the better.
They have pulled every trick in the book with me and I have called them on everything. I have reported them to the BBB, and to the Attorney Generals office and to the Pentagon. I am in the military and was supposed to get the reduced interest rate of 6 percent. We had to get the Pentagon involved to even get them to follow the law. It was a night mare and this company is as low as you can get. They have no respect for our great country or for military people who serve and protect their freedoms too.
They have LOST payments, and especially if you use Western Union. They invent new charges, and you never find out about them, until it is too late. They came and got my car after putting it in charge-off while I was still deployed to Iraq and never even sent a notice or anything. I am not through with these people at all.
THey do whatever they want to, and until the law or somebody shuts them down, they will continue to operate as loansharks.
I risked my life fighting for my country and because these bunch of lowlifes refused to give me my reduced interest rate, they took advantage of the trumped up late and interest charges, and even called my family and friends to find out what my duties were in the military after they had received orders from the Pentagon, and still did what they wanted to. I had to get the JAG to send them a certified letter to get them to stop harassing people. They do exactly what they want to and it sickens me that nobody will do anything to stop them. The BBB is on first name basis with them, so that is hopeless. I reported them anyway.

I even had to threaten them with Homeland Security to get them to stop asking my relatives confidential information about the military. This is viewed as terrorists acts after 9/11 but these idiots dont care. They are some of the boldest, but stupidest people I have ever dealt with in my life. and the biggest liars you will ever talk to.
THe office in Huntersville , NC is made up of a bunch of idiots and I am not kidding. They refuse to help you and refuse to accept any orders sent to them. They deliberately do this , so they can make out like you dont make your payements.
Count me in for anything against these crooks and all I can say is Hell is too good for this kind of underhanded business tactics.
