Complaint Review: Amerigas

Had a delivery of propane on 2/28/08 @ $6.049 per gallon. I checked the federal site as to the average retail price of propane on that date.....$3.15 per gallon, and the average wholesale price was $1.60. I called to complain, and within a minute she already dropped the price to $4.99 per gallon. The explained that I had my price raised because I didn't use enough in one year. I thought the idea in our country was to conserve fuel, and I have been doing that. I understand when they give a discount to big users, but I have never heard of punishing ppl because they conserve. I told them to take me off automatic delivery, and once the tank runs out they can pick it up and cancel my contract. The manager kept saying he understood, and in the same sentence would say "I'm sorry you feel that way". I also filed a report with the MD attorney generals office for price gouging.
