Amerihost - Ramada Maingate West charged my credit card for seven days that we didn't stay ripoff Kissimmee Florida
We went to Florida and participated in one of those "Time share" experiences. On the phone they told us it wasn't a time share. They only wanted us to take a tour of their facility. In return we would get a cruise and a two days in Fort Lauderdale and two days in Orlando.
Needless to say, it didn't take us long to figure out it was a time share. The stay in Fort Lauderdale wasn't bad, we took the tour and told them we weren't interested. We went on a nice short cruise. And then we headed to Orlando.
In Orlando they informed me that I would have to go through yet another time share spill. Which we did. Tony, the man who headed our tour wasn't very nice at all. But we got through it.
By the time we were through with our obligations with them, that left very little time to do what we wanted to do.
I went to the lobby and asked what it would cost to spend an extra night there. She told me it was $39.00. But I would have to go to a house phone and make a reservation. So I did. The next morning I went back down to the lobby to check in. I gave them my credit card and the lady at the desk told me she was suppose to have me check into a different room, but she wasn't going to make us do that.
The rental car was due back at 7 AM on the 5th of March, so my brother-in-law met us at the budget car rental and picked us up. We went back to the motel and got our luggage and the rest of our party and I dropped the keys in the drop key box in the lobby and we left around 9 AM. (I also have six witnesses)
When I got on-line and looked at my credit car bill it said "Amerihost" $308.49.
I wasn't sure who Amerihost was at all, but I did know I never stayed there. My credit card company has tried to get them to refund my money, but they finally gave up. Now it's up to me to try and get this fraudulent charge taken care of.
