Ameriplan Discount program Very funny! ripoff Plano Texas
I decided to join the Ameriplan mainly because it was supposed to be a discount program. I thought that it was going to be very useful for my son who has some mental problems, and who doesn't have insurance.
Well today he had an appointment with a dentist to look at his teeth. Just for looking at his teeth, we spent $95.00. It was a good thing that we had the money.
After that, the dentist told us that a root canal would cost a little over $500.00. My mouth dropped, and I couldn't believe what I heard. That was no discount, and they say this is a program for people that don't have insurance. This is crap, and somebody is making money off these people that can't afford any other way to pay for the work.
I wish that I would have never joined, and I hope there is a way to get out of it!

Are you sure that you chose an Ameriplan(R) participating dentist? Are you sure you presented your discount membership card?
What exactly was done on that oral check up? The services are not free, but they are very affordable with this plan.
I just took my two kids to an Ameriplan(R) participating dentist this week before starting school and they got a complete oral checkup and a cleanup. I only payed $61 for each kid. Without Ameriplan(R) I would of had to pay $187 each. I made sure I chose and Ameriplan(R)participating dentist and presented my card upon arrival.
My family and I save a lot of money with this plan.
