i have been paying for ameriplanUSA plan for years. i used to have the whole package which includes dental/vision/prescriptions and later chiropractic for the family at $35 month. I downgraded my plan to vision/rx only at $15 month.

All payments have been drawn directly from my checking account. I requested several times that i drop the plan. I didn't even know I was still paying for AMeriplanUSA until i recieved my last bank statement. Lo and Behold, I am gettng dunned for $30. a month.

First of all I'd like to say that those of us who are brokers of AmeriplanUSA are not considered employees of the company, but Independent Business Owners/Contractors ("I am an Employee of the Company Reported" was the best fit).

Secondly, I can't comment on the truthfulness of the above individuals statements as I have not been a broker for AmeriPlanUSA that long. I can say, however that, as of this point, the entire household dental plan (including dental, vision, prescription, and chiropractic) costs only $19.95/month. I can not verify at present what the cost was in the area of the individual at a time over a year ago (but I will seek to verify it with AmeriPlanUSA). The way the (dental) plan works NOW is that it is an entire package; one can not choose just dental, or just vision and prescription. The ENTIRE plan is $19.95. It is sold, at present, as a unit, and, at present, remains a unit. The brochure lists the vision, prescription, and chiropractic discount benefits as "FREE" extras with the dental plan (i.e. you are paying $19.95/month for a household regardless of size or relations of individuals within for a dental discount plan, and getting the 3 other discount services for "FREE"). Just thought I'd shed a bit of light on the subject. I will post an update regarding the status of the AmeriPlan dental plan as of the time of Nana's posting.

In addition, I must say that the statement "the company took it upon themselves to start withdrawing 30.00 month out of my bank account" is fairly deceptive (whether Nana intended it or not - it was most likely just written in frustration). Being that, at present, AmeriPlan has nearing 2 million members and certainly upward of 60,000 brokers to bill every month, there is no one "t[aking] it upon themselves" to charge a member or broker extra money. This extra charging would require a very large amount of man power at the corporate headquarters to personally do this to (potentially) every paying member/broker. Of course, to reduce costs/overhead, billing is done by computer (and as all of us who are reading this know, computers can be your best friends, or your worst enemy making every mistake imaginable). This automatic, computerized billing is certainly indicated by the fact that in order to join as a member/broker in AmeriPlanUSA, you have to set up AUTOMATIC payment for your AmeriPlan monthly fees. AmeriPlanUSA desires not the cost of having individuals deal with every bill (unless serious problems arise as with Nana's situation provided there are no hidden issues involved, such as violated rules/conduct - i.e. the change of price from $35 to $15 was not something allowed) nor the cost of sending out upward of 2 million bills every single month. That is a lot of money in resources alone, not to mention manpower or computerpower.

Just some ideas to help allow a careful examination of the full truth,
