Ameriquest Mortgage company closed down ALL of it's branches nationwide May 2nd 2006. Yesterday, I lost my job along with thousands of other people and that is fine by me because i have other jobs lined up.

However, what is NOT ok is that a racist crook like ADAM DeMARIO will find a job at another mortgage company where he will use his "sales performance" at Ameriquest to cheat his way into a position of power. This guy has never been a manager in his life, except for the ONE month he was a manager at the Brooklyn branch. He has ZERO managerial skills and has a serious inferiority complex.

Just check out the way his eyes zing back and forth and he is UNABLE to make eye contact with you or even act like a normal human being. This guy's decision making skills are so bad he fired one of the best employess we have had because he is a racist and this kid would not kiss his a*s. His only mistake was catching the flu. He had not even gone to training yet and had already closed his first loan with more in the works. I really liked him, so did everyone else in the office, because he was very outgoing and personable.

However, his fatal mistakes were coming down with the flu and getting sent home for two days and not kiss his Adam's a**. When he came in on monday he was fired. Another guy in the office, really bright kid also and very well liked, Adam tried to fire him unsuccessfully and the only reason he lasted till today is because the area manager would not allow Adam to fire him. He did his work, made hundreds of calls everyday and worked hard. He led the office in applications but just because he was of a different skin tone he made his life living hell.

This guy Adam bent over backwards to close loans for caucasians but was allowed clients of other races to walk-out if they did not agree to the ridiculous terms of the loan or if they did not fall for his bait-and-switch tactics at the closing table. He laughed as other employess mocked and ridiculed non-caucasian clients if they had trouble understanding the terms of a loan.

For example, one of my co-workers took an app for an Indian client and went to Adam with it to see what could be done. Without thinking twice or even looking at the paperwork he called a meeting where he blatanly informed us that we were NOT to call anyone with an Indian last name because they are the worst people to work with and in the history of Ameriquest NOT ONE Indian had closed a loan. The loan officer in question proceeded to take THAT SAME loan to another broker and closed 3.3 million dollars worth of business with that ONE client ! Once again, bad decision making skills.

In closing, what i would like YOU, the potential employer to take away from this report is the following: If Adam DeMario comes knocking at your door tommorow wanting to manage, or work as a loan officer, RUN THE OTHER WAY. It is NOT worth the headaches, demoralized employees or potential lawsuits. Have a nice day

Adam, if you are tired of responding, then don't. We are tired of reading your BS. So you were the top producer? And? This relates to you were the top liar, thief and idiot to all screwed customers. As for customer referrals, I do believe you are living in fantasy land. I can't believe there may be more than a handful of customers who would give you or anyone who worked at Ameriscum the time of day, let alone a referral.

I live in the world of struggling to pay my mortgage payment because of your crap company. People like YOU put me more in debt. As for interest rates, when have you seen a customer get their rate decreased? Sure. My rate has, and continues, to increase. It's only wrong to do a lot of business when you LIE AND CHEAT good, hard working people. I haven't received what I paid for yet. But, I have a lot of patience and know that it will all come back to me plus some.

YOU would pursue legal action for slander? There is NO slander here, only facts of how YOUR company has stole from their customers. Give me a break. Look up the word slander before you threaten to sue. It means attacking another's reputation by a false publication. I sure don't see that here. All I see is the grief that YOUR company has put so many people through. And, comments made on here are full of information. The only comment I've seen, with absolutely nothing of intelligence, is yours.

So I'm sorry to inform YOU that if you were a person with solid values and ethics, you would not have worked at Ameritheft.

I am getting tired of responding, but feel the need to clarify this further. I was the top producer because I did the most business. I did the most business because of customer referals. People don't refer business to someone who cheated them.
What world do you people live in? I helped hundreds of people get out of debt, get cash out to buy investment properties, or just lower their rate. Since when it is wrong to do a lot of business? Yes I charged for my services and it wasn't cheap. You get what you pay for. Everyone who I helped out was fully aware of what the cost of doing business was. If this wasn't some website that no one, including myself, knew about I would pursue legal action for the slander from the "pikers" who have nothing better to do but comment on matters that they know nothing about.
Sorry to inform you, but people with solid values and ethics can also be successful.

Being the top producer for a branch, an area, a region, or the company means nothing in the real world. The way the top producers "achieved" this ranking was not honorable. There's no valid real-world comparison to that kind of title within AMC.

Yes, I am clearly stating that they cheated, stacked loans, had sources outside of the leads provided by the company, or did whatever else was possible to get the top rank.

After further reflection,I, Adam DeMario have decided to respond again. Why would you take the time to write about Adam DeMario? Was Adam DeMario EVER accused of being a racist before? No. Is Adam DeMario very active in the community? Yes.

Did Adam DeMario fire someone for being immature and unprofessional? Yes. Does Adam DeMario go out of his way to help out EVERYONE equally in his community, regardless of race? Yes. I am troubled that my name has been smeared on some website and that I have to explain myself. The person who wrote that I fired him for having the flu was not suitable to handle the responsibility of the job. Period.

I, Adam DeMario am a good man who is fair and honest. I will not tolerate being labeled anything else. I earned the right not to be judged unfairly. I pray for the young man who has so much hatred in his heart that he would attempt to soil a good man's reputation. Seek refuge in the Lord and he will guide you.

Who cares? You ALL are getting what you deserve! Do you think anyone really cares what happens to you? You sure didn't care what happened to the thousands of customers you stole from and lied to. You didn't care that, everyday, people were becoming destitute and homeless due to your fraudulent and deceitful practices now did you?

How do you like being in the same situation as all the customers you lied to and laughed about? To scum of the earth Ameriquest and employees ... how does it feel to be treated like you have treated your customers all these years? Feels pretty bad doesn't it?

Good luck with your job search because every single one of you needs all the luck you can get!

I was an employee for two years with Ameriquest, manager for a month and two weeks. I was promoted not only because of my sales performance( number one in the company for all of 2005) but because of my ability to work with other people in the branch and help them to succeed. In the first month that I managed the branch, the sales volume increased from 2.4 million to 6.5million.Incompetent? As far as being labeled a racist: The top producer in April was black. This was someone who had struggled prior to my arrival and had his best month ever under my guidance. I gave him all the support he needed. It troubles me that someone would take the time to smear my name. If only you had used that energy towards developing your work ethic and salesmanship, you would have never been let go in the first place. I take offense to being labeled a racist. I grew up in Flushing,Queens in a racially diverse neighborhood. A literal melting pot.To say that I helped white customers more than others is absolutely ludicrous. I helped everyone equally. Those that know me well will say that I am intense and very straight forward individual.I always look someone straight in the eyes, I tell it like it is, and I don't sugar coat anything. Maybe that's a character defect and if you had stated that I was too straightforward, I couldn't agree with you more. If you wanted a reaction from me, it worked. If you think that this will have an impact on my future, you were mistaken.

First of all, I was working in the branch up until the very end in a 'second in command' capacity. I know everything that ever went on in that place. Adam Demario is no racist.

The individual you're referring to was terminated because he lacked professionalism and bearing, took a four hour lunch on a Friday without calling anyone 2 weeks into the job, and all around wasn't the right fit for the position. He wouldn't have been hired in the first place if Adam had been promoted before the individual interviewed. The one loan you are referring to was not sold by him, it was sold by ME. He did do a good job of taking the application, and generally had a decent work ethic.

If I was running the branch, I probably would have given him a little more time to prove himself. However, if that person's attitude and mentality didn't change real quick I would have fired him too.

There was no racism involved at all. Its fine for you to have personal differences with Adam, or to dislike his management or leadership style. But don't come on here in the wake of this mess and try to smear him with baseless accusations of racism.
