Complaint Review: Ameriquest Mortgage Company

Ameriquest Mortgage, AMC ripoff Los Angeles California

My loan originated in Ann Arbor Michigan, and like the other complainants here, my initial loan officer "dissapeared" and I was passed around like a ping pong ball. Everything you have read from others' reports are true, they lie, they steal, cheat and misrepresent themselves and they don't care who they crush to do it.

Even though I have been included with the AG's Suit, I got home yesterday and found a "notice to sell" on my door. It was the 13th of July but the notice is dated June 29th. The sale is to occur on July 27th. I contacted the lawyer firm listed on the bottom of the form, and had to leave a voice mail. I was on pins and needles all day today hoping for a return call to tell me what I can do to stop this, but nothing. I also faxed everything to the Michigan Office of Finances, a Ms. Gena (((ROR REDACTED FULL NAME FOR SECURITY PURPOSES))) in hopes for some reassurance, but nothing yet.

So, buyer beware. Tonight I go home to start packing my home of 26 years.

Ameriquest: Rest in Pieces

While the attorney Generals' got us a couple of dollars, most of the people I've known in this mess with Ameriquest, have lost our homes, our contents, vehicles and much pride. The "settlement" was less than a half month's house payment but consider how many people it affected, I guess we were lucky to get anything at all.

I still don't know why the government hasn't declared this disaster as partly their responsibility. I know I wrote many letters to the governor, her aide, the OFIS and more, but no response.

I hope you are at least warm this winter and found comfort knowing you weren't the ONLY one in this terrible mess.
peace, Joy from Onsted Michigan

Yes Ken, I did contact the attorney you referred to me and couldn't afford what he asked as a retainer. But I'm glad you wrote because I lost your email addrress. Thank you again.

I didn't "wait too long" for anything. I even went to the Sheriffs' sale just to see how the system works without telling the officer there who I was. I thought it better to sit back and observe. There was nothing to observe. I was the only resident there and the officer and I spoke about how people get into this situation etc.

It surprised me that Ameriquest had inflated the value of the "loan" to double what the house was worth when I first employed them in 2004! Its amazing. There were 32 homes listed on the Foreclosure/Sheriffs' sale and of the 32, 27 were being moved on by Ameriquest's Attorneys.

I've never been served with papers. There wasn't an "outcome" of the sale. I just learned. But, knowing what they will want for the home, I know I will not be able to keep it. I am there every day to make it look lived in, paid taxes etc. also. But I know in the long run, they will win.

For you I will pray as I do my son and all the young men and women who are trying to make a difference. My thoughts with your family too.
God Bless.

There is help. Yes you waited to long after your eviction papers were served to you! You had 6 months, but that is what ameriquest banks on, people like you that arent aware of the laws. You can still file suit for damages and attorney fees.

I understand what you are going through not just with ameriquest but with your sons. I am in the national guard. I renlisted in november after I served in the army from 89 to 93. And what all is going on I fely I had to serve my country once again.

I will be leaving within 30 days to go to Iraq. I will be state side for training then off to the sand box. I really wonder how ameriquest sleeps at night and still do what they have done to 1000s of people. You need to hang in their and we will all prevail in the end.

Have you been in contact with my attorney? God Bless you and your sons for I know and my parents, wife and chldren know what you are going through. it took alot of convincing my whole family the choice I made to go back in the Miltary, because instead of being deployed to Iraq I volunteered to go to Iraq!

Time to Throw in the towel!

While I haven't given up the war, I've definately lost the first round of the battle. I had to leave my home of 27 years and downsize considerably, but I'm alive, well and have a roof over my head.

The bankruptcy was gruelling. I don't like the feeling that I've failed, but I haven't fallen yet. Just a few stumbles. I met with many lawyers to try to file an individual law suite but couldn't afford the 'upfront' fees. So I've stuck with the class action.

Thank you to this site and to all of you who showed such great support in emails. It was well received and I pray for all of you!

God Bless and keep you all,

Joy

Read the holland Michigan posts from top to bottom their are two of them on this fine web site. There is an attorney here in holland Michigan that is helping people by the first name David and the last name of hall.

There are several of us here in michigan that are banning together to stop this monster by the name of Ameriquest. They have ruined my life and many many other. This company needs to be stopped and they will be stopped.

They have commited several counts of fraud and many other violations. It will be only and matter of time before they will have their doors closed for good. Right now they operate under many names. AMC, AMERIQUEST, ARGENT. So stay away from all these companies.

So read the holland michigan post on this site there are 2 of them read them carefully and you will be able to get help. Together as one we can stop this monster.

Good Luck and GOD BLESS.

Ameriquest , California to foreclose!

Every detail in my case is the same as all the others here... loan officer that doesn't finish the loan, appraiser that didn't appraise, just asked for my previous documentation and then inflated the value of my home. Loan documents were lost and figures were wrong, promises were made to correct the errors, but nothing happened and finally, after paying them for a year by borrowing against credit cards, I had to File Chapter 7. It will relieve my credit card debts but I wanted to work things out with my house. Ameriquest won't give me the time of day on the phone, cnanot get to my account online and they don't reply to mail.

My notice to creditors meeting in court was the 12th and no one showed up. Today, the 16th of Sept I received a regular mail telling me the mortgage company is going to fight for the house and take it and the contents away from me. I cannot find a lawyer in Michigan that will do anything, and my bankruptcy lawyer said it isn't something she can do.

Can anyone help me? I'm in Deerfield michigan. I get my mail at yahoo and my nick name is noctfem. can you understand that?

I don't know what to do... on top of this mess, my son shipped out for Kuwait 3 weeks ago and I have not heard a word from him... :(

Good luck to all. God Bless. Joy

That there is a bunch of crap. If it were me, the first person who walked through my door would get their head blown off. You need to take this to a different level. Ameriquest, the official mortgage company of major league baseball, must be brought out into the open.
